| After the outbreak of the New Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic,the childcare support system such as schools and educational institutions stopped and failed,and the shortage of children's care resources led to children's care responsibilities return to families and mothers,and the adjustment of care strategies of related families,especially school-age mothers.Based on the in-depth interview data of 10 urban mothers,the author presents the real situation of the care practice process of school-age children during the epidemic.This paper compares the content and intensity of the practice of mother-in-service before and after the epidemic situation and the different stages of the epidemic development.It is found that the family care strategy of children changes with the change of working state of parents during the epidemic,and the responsibility of mother to take care of children can be shared or more concentrated.Content and intensity have also changed in specific areas of maternal practice,including day-to-day care,educational counselling,emotional relief.Obviously,during the epidemic,the mothers interviewed had some difficulties in taking care of school-age children,including the conflict of care of working and suspended children,the lack of online education supervision and counseling,and the lack of knowledge and channels of family psychological counseling in emergencies.But each family and mother is not only passively affected by the epidemic,they will also use resources of the family to overcome the difficulties,so that the family from the impact of the imbalance back to balance.Finally,this paper will try to solve the dilemma of maternal practice in special situations from the perspective of social welfare and social work,through emergency management and welfare system improvement,family and mother-friendly policy advocacy,and help to establish social support network,carrying out parental education and mental health education. |
