"Her Variety Show" Research From The Perspective Of Gaze Theory

Since 2020 and 2021,"Sisters who make waves I" and "Sisters who make waves II" have been broadcast successively,"Her Variety Show" with women as the main narrative has begun to be popular."Her Variety Show" takes women as the protagonists,and discusses women's life,work,emotion,social and other topics from a female perspective,in order to reflect women's world outlook,values and outlook on life in the current society."Her Variety Show" is an innovative attempt,and its rise reflects the interest preference of the audience in the whole media era and the technical bias of variety show production on this basis.Among the variety shows with many themes,"Her Variety Show" has gained more traffic and become a new force in the variety show,and the operating mechanism behind it is worth studying and thinking.The cut-in point of this study lies in the multiple gaze in "Her Variety Show".No matter the cameras at the scene of the program,the special guests in the studio or the audience of the program all gaze at the female roles in the program.the gaze not only satisfies the audience's peeping psychology,but also plays a role in reconstructing the female image and reshaping the content of the program.The gaze endows her Variety with new connotations of program type,program style,program content and program effect.The study selected the workplace category "Her Variety Show" which has been popular in the past two years,for example the workplace program To go to work! Mother's,the travel program Wife's Romantic Travel,the life program My Girl and the love program daughters' Love are four representative "Her Variety Show" programs as research texts.This paper makes an in-depth study on different types of "Her Variety Show" programs in China through the methods of case study,text analysis and in-depth interview.This study is divided into five parts.The first chapter starts from the concept of "vision first" in ancient Greek thought.The second chapter starts with the program style of "Her Variety Show" and explores the new presentation of "Her Variety Show" under gazing between the sexes.The third chapter studies the content construction of "Her Variety Show" and the influence of the micro power implied in the program on its content presentation from the perspective of "Power gaze".The fourth chapter is based on the "Identity gaze",through the analysis of the audience in the process of self-construction and identity to analyze the effect of the program.Finally,on the basis of the research in the previous chapters,we will explore the difficulties faced by "Her Variety Show" and the ways to achieve a breakthrough,so as to provide some suggestions and references for similar variety shows.
