Because of the fast evolution of wireless communication,many communication systems and norms have arised,making the spectrum present separated.Besides,many mazy modulation methods are used,making the signal have a higher PAPR.Therefore,in view of the existing problems,this topic analyzes and studies how to achieve dual-band and high-efficiency Doherty power amplifiers,and conducts tests and verifications on the actual products.This test mainly making research and design on the following three parts:(1)The series microstrip line structure is used as a dual-band matching network for design.On this basis,a Class F PA is used to improve efficiency,and a2.6GHz/3.5GHz dual-band PA is developed.The drain efficiency of the PA is 70% and68%,the gain is more than 10 d B,and the output is more than 40 d Bm.(2)Using reverse thinking,the tri-band impedance matching circuit and the PA are combined together,and the mid frequency is mismatched to form band-to-band isolation.Finally,a dual-band 2.6GHz/3.4GHz with a certain band-to-band isolation is developed.Power amplifier.The middle frequency is 3GHz.Through actual measurement,the drain efficiency at 2.6GHz and 3.4GHz is 60%,the output is more than 40 d Bm,and the gain is more than 10 d B.Among them,the gain at 3GHz between the bands is-2d B,and the efficiency is 1%,which has good band-to-band isolation.(3)Based on the Class F dual-band PA,the relevant theory of Doherty power amplifier was explained,and finally a dual-band Doherty PA based on Class F with a frequency of 2.6GHz/3.5GHz was developed.Its saturated drain efficiencies are 66.9%and 65%,6d B backoff efficiencies are 55% and 52%,and the saturated output power is around 43 d Bm,achieving the established goals of a Class F-based dual-band Doherty power amplifier.
