At present,the sorting and sorting of books is still in the manual sorting stage,the sorting efficiency is low,and the labor cost is high.As a necessary link of book sorting,book sorting plays an important role in library management.Automatic sorting of books can improve the efficiency of book sorting,reduce labor costs,and promote the establishment and management of digital library.Developing a book sorting system based on machine vision technology with the functions of book recognition and fast transport sorting is of great significance to further improve the automatic level and efficiency of book sorting in libraries.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)By analyzing the characteristics of existing machine vision-based barcode location and recognition methods,a book image segmentation and barcode location method is proposed.Firstly,median filtering and Gamma enhancement are used to enhance the book image,and Hough transform is used to correct the tilted image.Then,Canny operator edge detection is used to segment the book image from the machine vision image.Finally,the bar code region is segmented from the book image by binarization and maximum rectangle segmentation according to the bar code texture features.(2)The coding and decoding principles of Code128 code are analyzed,the two decoding methods are compared,and the extracted barcode is decoded by using similar edge distance measurement method to identify the information contained in the barcode.The bar code recognition system of book image is developed,the hardware and software of the recognition system are designed,and the performance of the system is verified by the bar code recognition test.(3)Developed the book sorting system based on machine vision,according to the proposed algorithm,developed the bar code recognition system and designed the book sorting car to develop the book sorting system prototype.The sorting test scheme is designed,the sorting performance of the sorting system is tested,and the testing process is analyzed.The results show that the sorting system based on machine vision developed in this paper can realize automatic sorting of books and has good application value.This paper provides technical guidance for efficient sorting of books and automatic library management,and has certain theoretical and practical value.
