In recent years, low frequency spectrum resources are becoming increasingly scarce, and the high frequency terahertz band has become a research hotspot in wireless communications. The terahertz communication with high gain directional antenna can realize the concurrent transmissions of multiple data flows, and the concurrent transmission can further improve the network capacity. The terahertz communication is expected to support the high throughput requirements of the backhaul data flows for future wireless backhaul networks. For terahertz wireless backhaul networks, how to achieve efficient transmission scheduling to meet the quality of service(QoS)requirements for more data flows and take advantage of both concurrent transmission and high bandwidth is a big challenge. In addition, the increasing demand of users requires the guarantee of high rate access and backhaul. It is also a challenge to jointly design the transmission scheduling for the access and backhaul network to satisfy the QoS requirements of more users. In view of the above problems, this paper studies transmission scheduling from two aspects for terahertz wireless backhaul networks.First, considering the QoS requirements of data flows, this paper studies the concurrent transmission scheduling problem for terahertz wireless backhaul networks, and proposes a QoS-aware bandwidth allocation and concurrent transmissions scheduling scheme. In this scheme, the concept of network global conflict graph is introduced to obtain the maximum independent set of concurrent transmissions, and take full advantage of bandwidth allocation and concurrent transmissions to meet the QoS requirements of more data flows.Performance evaluation results show that the proposed transmission scheduling scheme can satisfy QoS requirements of more flows, and significantly improves system throughput.Second,in view of the QoS requirements of users, this paper studies the transmission scheduling problem for the integrated millimeter wave access and terahertz backhaul networks. With the number of successfully served users in both access and backhaul as the optimization goal, this paper proposes a joint optimization scheme of user association and transmission scheduling for the integrated access and backhaul networks. The simulation results show that the proposed transmission scheduling scheme has better performance compared with the scheme based on random user association and the scheme based on the maximum signal-to-noise ratio user association.
