The ocean Internet of Things(Io T)has a wide range of applications in many fields such as marine environment monitoring, marine resource development, natural disaster prevention, and military defense. So node localization technology of the ocean Io T has been deeply concerned. With the development and strength of the ocean Io T,there are many deployed and used ocean Io T systems that do not have the ability to solve many problems caused by the expansion of the deployment area, because of the complexity and particularity of the marine environment. For example, the redundancy of beacon nodes, the difficulty of accurate deployment of beacon nodes, the easy movement of underwater nodes with seawater flowing, and the ranging error caused by the long distance and high latency of underwater acoustic communication, etc. In addition, the computing power and energy consumption of the nodes is limited by its own limited resources. In response to the above-mentioned urgent problems, this paper mainly studies the node localization algorithm of ocean Io T based on single beacon, and proposes a Single Beacon Rotating based Node Localization Algorithm(SRL)and a Ranging-free and Level-based Node Localization Algorithm Based on Single Beacon(RLL).The SRL algorithm uses the position and angle information of single rotating beacon to calculate the positional relationship between the unlocated node and the beacon, thereby realizing underwater node localization. It overcomes the difficulty that the ranging error between the unlocated node and the beacon node is difficult to control. And the SRL algorithm also provides a new solution and idea for the range-based localization algorithm to get rid of the constraints of time synchronization. The RLL algorithm is a range-free localization technology which avoids the impact of underwater ranging errors. It uses the tree structure to quickly find the unlocated node, and divides the node by establishing levels and zones. Not only can accurately locate the node, but also can use it to effectively detect malicious nodes. So as to resist the intrusion of external malicious nodes. On the premise of high localization accuracy and high stability, both algorithms use single beacon to solve the localization problems caused by redundancy of beacon node, difficult to deploy and movement of underwater nodes with seawater flowing. Moreover, both algorithms are low cost, low energy consumption, and easy to deploy. In this paper, the above algorithms are verified by simulation experiments. The simulation results show that both the SRL algorithm and the RLL algorithm proposed in this paper have high localization accuracy and stability. In addition, the impact factors of the two algorithms were tested separately, and the results showed that the two algorithms have relatively good resistance to impact factors.
