With the development of wireless communication,the demand for high-frequency,high-throughput passive microwave devices is increasing.high-throughput satellites(HTS)Ku-band and Ka-band are the hot spots and development direction of satellite communication.At present,the development of HTS-related passive devices is mainly in the narrow band.Generally,the bandwidth of Ku-band dielectric filter is about 0.5%.Relative broadband dielectric filters have a great development prospects,at the same time,the bandwidth expansion technology of dielectric filters is also emerging.First,this paper introduces the history of filters,the design and application status of dielectric filters,then puts forward the background of the topic that the demand for relative broadband dielectric filters is increasing in the development of high-throughput satellite communications at this stage.Secondly,this paper introduces the filter-related theory from the aspects of functional classification and characteristics.Next,the design of dielectric resonator,dielectric filter and ordinary narrowband TE01?-mode dielectric filter are introduced and analyzed in different directions.On this basis,the bandwidth expansion of narrow-band TE01delta-mode dielectric filter is studied.Increase the coupling between the dielectric resonators by reducing the distance between them.The design of the input/output coupling structure under relative broadband conditions is achieved through the innovation of the new structure.On the basis of the invention of input/output coupling based on arc probe,the input/output coupling structure with a cavity added to the dielectric cavity is invented,The Y-parameter method and the HFSS/Designer collaborative methods are used to design and simulate the dielectric filter after bandwidth expansion.The TE01?mode dielectric filter with expanded bandwidth is plotted and tested.The test results agree with the simulation results and meet the design requirements.Subsequently,the relative broadband dielectric filter is minimized and the index is optimized.Finally,the future research is prospected in this paper.
