With the characteristics of large field of view and simple nervous system,the compound eye is able to catch information around it synchronously and multidirectionally.Also inspired by these characteristics,the compound eye is applied to all kinds of fields,such as visual locating of bionic robots,speed measurement and monitoring.The thesis designs an automatic mosaic method of panoramic image system based on distributed multi-channels(bionic compound eye)enlightened by the compound eye and vision mechanism,which enable bionic robots to quickly collect and deal with 360-degree image information around it.As follows is the specific research:(1)The thesis not only analyzes the structural characteristics of compound eye and the technology of bionic compound eye,but also optimizes the existing products on the market right now,and ultimately designs a simple bionic compound eye mechanical structure.(2)The thesis conducts a detailed series of research and experiment in terms of image mosaic.First of all,in view of the problems of high complexity and low matching efficiency of the traditional SIFT algorithm,the thesis puts forward a fast algorithm to test SIFT features,which improves the efficiency of image matching.Secondly,it uses the method of histogram specification before image fusion to deal with the problem of image luminance difference.Last but not least,it adopts calefaction average arithmetic during the process of image fusion to improve the quality of image fusion effectively through experiments.(3)Cylindrical panoramic image stitching was studied.Cylindrical panoramic image stitching experiments were performed on some scenes of life and work,and good stitching results were obtained.(4)The application of compound eye device in hexapod crawling bionic robot was studied.
