The fifth generation mobile communication technology(5G)can meet the demand of exponential growth in network traffic. In order to connect more user equipment and provide higher data rates,Ultra-Dense Network(UDN)can flexibly deploy low-power small base stations(SBSs)within the coverage of a macro cell to avoid blind spots, which improve the network throughput and control network load balancing. However, the dense deployment of SBSs and the increase of mobile users have led to the inevitable increase in energy consumption and interference in the network. Therefore, how to perform reasonable wireless resource management and improve the energy efficiency of the network while meeting the users' quality is an urgent problem to be solved in the UDN.In order to achieve the goal of maximizing network energy efficiency under the premise of ensuring user quality, this article mainly uses effective wireless resource management technology to reasonably allocate wireless resources in UDNs,including spectrum resources, power resources, etc.First, this article represents a brief overview of the research background and current status of the subject. The basic theoretical knowledge of wireless resource management in UDNs is briefly introduced, and the definition of energy efficiency(EE)indicators in UDNs is given, which provides a theoretical basis for the following research. Then, this paper studies energy-efficient user association and resource allocation scheme in UDNs.In order to reduce cross-tier interference,a control plane and user Plane split(CUPS)-based UDN system model was constructed, and high-low frequency networking was adopted in the control plane and user plane. This paper formulates the optimization problem of user association,sub-channel allocation and power coordination based on clustering to achieve the goal of maximizing network EE.Orthogonal resource allocation is utilized within cluster, and the same frequency resources are reused between clusters to reduce interference on the co-tier.This paper further proposes a joint optimization algorithm based on clustering of user association,sub-channel allocation and power coordination. The algorithm uses an alternate optimization method to solve the user association sub-problem,sub-channel allocation sub-problem and power coordination sub-problem in turn. The simulation results show that compared with the algorithm without clustering and the basic optimization algorithm, the algorithm proposed in this paper effectively improves the EE of the system. Finally, this paper represents an energy-efficient user mode selection and power control scheme in UDN with D2 D Communications.D2 D Communications technology promotes network densification and reduces the load of base stations in UDN.In order to improve the EE of all users in the network, reduce the power consumption of the equipment, and extend the use time of the equipment, this paper considers the uplink Communications scenario in the UDN,and formulates the optimization problem of maximizing the total users' EE in the network.By solving this optimization problem through a heuristic algorithm, users can maximize user EE by choosing to Communications with SBSs or D2 D Communications and adjusting the transmission power. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can effectively reduce user power consumption and improve network EE.
