In the field of modern microwave electronics,vacuum electronic devices and microwave millimeter wave solid-state devices are two kinds of devices commonly used for power amplification.Solid state power devices have been widely used in radar,electronic countermeasure and military communication systems due to their advantages of low DC supply voltage,small size and high performance stability.Since the 1970s,in order to improve the output power of communication system to meet the needs of high-power military electronic system,under the condition of limited saturated output power of a single power transistor,researchers have proposed a power synthesis technology based on solid-state power devices:through the superposition of the output power of multiple transistors,the transmission power of the communication system can be increased,thereby increasing the detection range and the radius of action.In the case of limited single branch transistor power amplification,the key to achieve high power output is to design a multi-way power synthesis network with good amplitude and phase consistency,so that multiple PA units can be cascaded to obtain high power output.Therefore,the research focus of this paper is to realize the multi-way power synthesis network with good amplitude and phase consistency based on waveguide.The main achievements of this paper are as follows:1.A 4-way power divider/combiner based on waveguide magic-T is designed in K-band.The simulation results show that in the 19-22GHz band,the total input port reflection coefficient is less than-20.4d B,the branch port reflection coefficient is less than-20d B,the insertion loss of the whole structure is less than 0.15d B,and the isolation between the output ports is more than 20d B.2.A 15-way power divider/combiner based on circular waveguide TE01mode is designed and fabricated in Ka band.In the 32-38GHz band,the return loss of the total port is better than 17.5d B,the amplitude inconsistency of each branch port is less than1.5d B,and the maximum phase difference between each branch port is less than 9°.3.A new type of mode filter is designed and manufactured to improve the problem of poor amplitude consistency caused by circular waveguide heteromode.On this basis,a power divider/combiner based on the new type of mode filter is designed and manufactured.The test results show that the amplitude inconsistency of the power divider/combiner with mode filter is less than 0.8d B,and the phase inconsistency is less than 6°The structure can effectively suppress the convex peaks in the transmission coefficient band of each branch port,and solve the problem of circular waveguide heteromode interference.4.A rectangular waveguide TE10 mode to coaxial TE01 mode conversion structure is designed,and a 16-way power divider/combiner based on coaxial TE01 mode is designed.The simulation results show that the amplitude inconsistency of the 16-way power divider/combiner is less than 0.1d B in the 32-36GHz frequency band,the amplitude consistency of branch ports is good,and the in band flatness is high.The overall performance of the structure is excellent The circuit loss is less than 0.15d B,and its phase difference is less than 2°.It has great advantages in millimeter wave multi-way power combining applications.
