Thanks to long service life,fast response speed,and stable light-emitting performance,white light emitting diode(White LED)has been considered as a promising new solid-state lighting solution.Till now,the development of white light devices is limited by semiconductor materials and complex device structures.It is very challenging to prepare white light emitting diodes with low cost,high efficiency and simple structure.With the deepening of research on nanomaterials,electroluminescence of single semiconductor nanomaterials can be used as a way to realize white light emitting diodes.The semiconductor materials which could emit light encompassing the entire visible light is the key.Zinc oxide(ZnO)is a direct wide band gap(3.37 e V)semiconductor.The exciton binding energy at room temperature is about 60 me V,which means that it has effective exciton emission at room temperature.In this condition,the research and development of Zinc oxide nanostructured electroluminescent devices attain theoretical support.The adjustable visible light emission of zinc oxide nanomaterial makes it possible for zinc oxide nanostructured electroluminescent devices to produce white light emitting diodes.In this paper,corresponding electroluminescent devices are prepared based on zinc oxide nanostructures,and the blue-cold white light emission of the devices is realized.The white electroluminescent devices with zinc oxide nanostructures have long service life and high chemical stability,which extends the realization to white light-emitting diodes.The main research content is: the synthesis of zinc oxide nanorods(ZnO NRs)by Hydrothermal method and the synthesis of zinc oxide quantum dots(ZnO QDs)by Sol-gel method,and the test of microscopic morphology and crystal structure of the zinc nanostructures with atomic force microscope,scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffractometer.By changing the growth parameters of the two zinc oxide nanostructures,the zinc oxide nanostructures that meet the experimental requirements were selected to prepare electroluminescent device;then based on these two typical Zinc oxide nanostructures respectively,the paper prepared zinc oxide nanorod light-emitting diodes and zinc oxide quantum dot light-emitting diodes,and realized the blue-cold white light emission of the zinc oxide quantum dot light-emitting diodes.Lastly,by testing the electrical and optical properties of the device,comparing and analyzing the photoluminescence spectra of zinc oxide nanostructures and the electroluminescence performance of its corresponding devices,the paper explored the luminescence mechanism of zinc oxide nanostructure electroluminescent devices,showing the application potential of zinc oxide nanostructures in the field of white light emitting diodes,which expands the realization path of white light emitting diodes.
