MANET(Mobile Ad Hoc Network),also known as Ad Hoc Network,is a short-term or temporary wireless multi-hop LAN established without a fixed infrastructure. It has the characteristics of easy laying, fast and flexible networking, and strong resistance to destruction. And it has broad application prospects in the fields of military battlefield communication, civil disaster rescue, and sensor networks.Due to the convenience of MANET,it is used in a wide range of applications in various fields and the influence of it is also increasing. Therefore, people's security requirements for MANET networks are also increasing.Unlike traditional networks,MANET do not rely on fixed infrastructure, its topology changes dynamically and the resources of the nodes in it limited. The particularity of the MANET network makes it more vulnerable to security threats than traditional networks. However, the security mechanisms(such as firewalls)in traditional networks are no longer suitable for MANET networks. Thus, research on the security mechanisms applicable to mobile ad hoc networks cannot be ignored. The MANET network authentication system is the first line of defense and it is also the basis for ensuring secure communication of data. This paper studies the authentication mechanism of MANET network, and proposes a lightweight rotational CA authentication scheme based on consensus mechanism for MANET network. It focuses on how to quickly reach a consensus on determining the CA in the MANET with frequent changes in topology. And then CA provides authentication services for nodes within the network. The CA in this scenario uses a lightweight CA and does not require certificate management. The main advantage of the solution is that the solution is a distributed structure throughout the life cycle, and centralized authentication is adopted in the current cycle. The CA nodes are different in different cycles, which is equivalent to CA roaming throughout the network. It not only retains the advantages of centralized authentication to establish the trust relationship between nodes quickly and easily, but also has the tolerance of the threshold mechanism. As a supplement to the authentication mechanism, this paper studies the revocation mechanism and proposes a three-threshold revocation scheme with CA arbitration. This paper introduces role factors to distinguish the impact of different roles on trust calculation.Besides,In addition, the node revocation in various situations is discussed, and the different revocation situations are separately detailed. Finally,a complete revocation system was formed. The main advantage of the solution is that a role cost function is introduced to distinguish the influence of different roles on the network,so that the high credibility of the CA can be ensured to the greatest extent, and the harm to the network can be reduced. In addition, the scheme is arbitrated by CA,assisted by neighbor nodes, and supplemented by three thresholds so that the accuracy of revocation is improved.
