Optical fiber sensors are impervious to electromagnetic interference.They are us ed in biomedicine,and the transportation ofoil pipelines.Other industries make extensi ve use of it.With the advent of photonic crystal fiber(PCF),a new way of developing sensors.has.been.opened.Because of itslow temperature sensitivity and variety of desi gns,it is widely used in the field of sensing.This paper puts the background and value of the fiber node technology,followed by a brief analysis of several common types of optical fiber sensing at the ti me,a summary of the development status of humidity sensing technology based on M ach-Zehnder interference(MZI),and an introduction to PCF.The light guide mechani sm and sensor research progress.Second,the excellent properties of PCF as a light gui de carrier are discussed.We study the theoretical basis of PCF sensor based on the MZI structure,and finally propose the refractive index sensor and humidity sensor based.on.the.MZI.photonic.fiber.Sensors and experiments are used to evaluate perfor mance.A new type of PCF optical sensor is designed and manufactured by MZI method.The experimental results show that the recovery and water content are feasible.The following are the specific experimental research findings:(1)This paper proposes a Z-type SMF-PCF-SMF(SPS)optical fiber refractive in dex sensor that combines a piece of PCF and a non-centered fusion of a single-mode f iber(SMF)to form a Z-type SMF-PCF-SMF sensor.The all-fiber MZI is realized by t he structure.Developed and manufactured a new type of liquid flow controller capabl e of carrying optical fiber.To observe and record spectral changes,the optical fiber se nsing part is placed in the flow controller,The experimental results show that the refractive index range is 169.63 nm / RIU in the refractive index range of 1.339 to1.347.(2)This paper designs and fabricates an SMF-Compound Clearance-PCF-SMF(SCPS)type optical fiber humidity sensor,which employs a beam splitter formed by an air c avity and an optical fiber matching liquid,as well as dislocation fusion spliced PCF a nd single-mode optical fiber.The PCF serves as a coupler by being coated with polyvi nyl alcohol as the humidity sensitive part,and MZI is formed durably.and MZI is form ed during the structure's transmission process.Humidity sensitivity is tested in the homemade air chamber from 30% to 80% relative humidity range.The humidity sensitivity test resulted in a 330um/percentage.The two sensors designed in this article are novel and reasonable in structure desi gn,with small size,light weight,good stability,high sensitivity,It has other characteristics and has been put into practical use in industry,medicine and pharmaceutical industry.
