Among various access network schemes,GPON system is the first choice for FTTH network construction because of its large bandwidth capacity and rich service support.Aiming at the safety and reliability of GPON system's equipment and lines,this thesis studies the safety and reliability of GPON system.This thesis studies the PON protection mechanism of GPON system,which mainly increases the reliability of GPON system by adding spare links or devices.Firstly,the composition of GPON network is introduced,and the functions of GPON system are described.Then,because the experimental equipment in this thesis is compatible with GPON,XG-PON and XGS-PON,we introduce the basic principle and coexistence mode of 10 G GPON.For PON protection types,it introduces four types according to the standard and two types according to the networking mode.In this thesis,the protection method of PON Type B is analyzed,and the protection cost of PON Type B is analyzed.In order to call the non-hand-in-hand networking and the hand-in-hand networking simply,they are replaced by single ownership and double ownership.This thesis introduces the hardware and software structure of Type B PON protection system.Because the line card in the equipment is a dual CPU line card,the design and optimization of data transmission channel are proposed.This thesis mainly designs the software on the line card,analyzes and designs the business module and driver module.In this thesis,the GPON OLT device is verified and tested.Because of the double attribution,the switching time is more.In the realization of the function,it needs to be compatible with single and double home,but in the test,the dual home protection is tested as an example.Since the line card in the experimental equipment is a dual CPU line card,the hand held PON protection function is tested in three environments.In order to test the conditions of protection switching comprehensively,it is necessary to test the four functions of main fiber broken switching,branch fiber breaking switching,forced switching and hot swap switching.The switching time of each scene is calculated,and the conclusion is drawn: the Type B hand-in-hand PON protection has certain reliability and stability,and the switching time is basically within 50 ms,so the optimization of data transmission channel is relatively successful.
