The advancement of cloud computing has greatly promoted the development of Internet of Things.Sensors and smart devices which are deployed in the smart hotel environment,making up a network,will generate a large amount of data,so that traditional cloud computing structures will face tremendous pressure when processing data.The core idea of edge computing is to reduce the pressure on cloud servers by deploying edge servers near terminal devices.Based on the edge-cloud collaboration computing system,this thesis combines the advantages of edge computing and cloud computing to realize a system which is suitable for smart hotel environment.This thesis proposes a system based on edge-cloud collaboration computing for chain smart hotels.It combines the advantages of traditional cloud computing and edge computing systems,using edge nodes servers for high-real-time tasks,reducing the transmission time,achieving the cloud-edge-devices collaboration.At the same time,this system makes the smart hotel system more complete,providing new ideas for the design of the smart hotel industry.This thesis analysis the main problems in the smart hotel,analyzes the respective advantages of traditional cloud computing systems and edge computing systems,combines them to design a smart hotel system.After that,using face recognition tasks as an example.Raspberry Pi hardware platform is used to realize the system.The system performs face recognition by monitoring video streams on the edge side,allows the edge side to ask the cloud for help when computing resources are insufficient,improves the accuracy of system identification.The edge side can response the recognition results,the cloud can send control order to the edge side,realizing the function of intelligent access control on the edge side.This system provides new ideas for solving the problems faced by smart hotels in the development process.This thesis has completed the design of the edge-cloud collaboration computing system in the background of smart hotels,using edge devices as supplement the traditional cloud computing system,solving high-real-time tasks such as face recognition.It also solves the problems of equipment selection,computing power,and data security in hotel environment.The cloud is responsible for long-term tasks and system management,the edge works for realtime data calculation and task execution.A system that can run stably on the Raspberry Pi platform is designed and realized.This system has accurate recognition and expandable equipment functions,which has a certain guiding effect on the application deployment and future development of smart hotels system.
