The scale of large-scale photovoltaic power station is huge.As one of the core components of the whole power station,photovoltaic array consists of a large number of photovoltaic cell modules connected in series and parallel.The reliability of photovoltaic array affects the safe and stable operation of the whole system.As photovoltaic power stations are often installed in harsh environments,photovoltaic arrays are prone to be affected by environmental factors,or their own material structures are aging,damage and other problems,leading to frequent failures in arrays.In order to improve the generation efficiency and operation stability of the whole photovoltaic power generation system,it is necessary to diagnose and locate the faults in the photovoltaic array.Output characteristic of photovoltaic array is affected by many external factors and the working state of the array,using the output characteristics of photovoltaic array under different working conditions of the analysis of the contrast common connection of photovoltaic array structure and the advantages and disadvantages of the existing sensor configuration scheme,this paper proposes a optimal sensor allocation strategy,qualitative analysis of the measured voltage to locate fault point.In addition,considering the cost factor,the relationship between the number of sensors used and the identification degree of fault points is elaborated,which is conducive to making a reasonable choice according to the specific situation in the actual use process.The main contents of the paper are as follows:Understanding of photovoltaic array of different fault types and their respective causes,the output characteristics of photovoltaic array under different working conditions,mainly analyzed from the points of view of electrical characteristics of PV array under different fault types of feature parameters,reveals the array output voltage and current changing with the working state,behind the photovoltaic array and positioning strategy to provide theoretical basis for fault diagnosis.Considering most of today’s pv array fault diagnosis methods are lacking in the fault point positioning,put forward a new method of fault diagnosis,according to certain principles in the photovoltaic array configuration appropriate voltage,current sensor,by comparing the different allocation strategy of economical and practical,to find a optimal allocation strategy,finally in order to verify the reliability and accuracy of fault location method,will the improved BP neural network,and under different conditions to establish the sensor readings and fault state and fault point location mapping relationship,verify the feasibility of this method.
