Compared with the traditional phased array(PA),the energy distribution of the linear frequency diverse array(FDA)beam is not only related to the angle,but also related to the distance,thus forming a dual dependence of distance and angle Beam pattern.Therefore,the FDA radar with a high degree of freedom has great potential in target recognition and other aspects.However,linear FDA beams are periodic in distance and are susceptible to potential interference.The non-linear FDA breaks its periodicity,forming an irregular beam at the target position,and a part of the energy is dispersed to the side lobe position.However,in the field of radio frequency,for some special applications such as radio frequency stealth,accurate target detection and positioning of radar,etc.,the FDA's beam pattern needs to be designed as a beam with more concentrated energy.The use of multi-carrier technology can further focus energy and form spot beams.Therefore,the application of multi-carrier technology to the FDA to improve beam performance,the specific research content and innovations are as follows:1.Three multi-carrier FDA spot beam combining methods are designed and implemented,namely the logarithmic FDA based on exponential multi-carrier,the power exponent FDA based on log multi-carrier,and the power exponent FDA based on power exponent multi-carrier.All three types of multi-carrier FDA can form spot beams with concentrated energy.The exponential-based multi-carrier logarithmic FDA is better than the log-based multi-carrier FDA in the main lobe energy focusing performance.The multi-carrier power index FDA is superior to the log FDA based on log multi-carrier in its ability to suppress sidelobe levels.2.Designed and implemented a PA-based nonlinear FDA beam synthesis method,optimized the non-linear FDA beam angle dimension,the main lobe energy 3d B width,that is,the PA-based nonlinear FDA can form a beam with more concentrated energy,but the beam is at a distance There are still tailings in the dimension.Then based on the PA-based non-linear FDA,the multi-carrier technology is used to design and implement the PA-based non-linear multi-carrier FDA beam synthesis,which effectively suppresses the tail phenomenon.Experimental results show that compared with the non-linear multi-carrier FDA,the PA-based non-linear multi-carrier FDA optimizes the angular dimension main lobe energy by 3 d B and forms an extremely narrow beam,which can better achieve RF stealth and precise target positioning.
