The standardization of Fifth Generation(5G)mobile communication systems in release 15 and release 16 of the Third Generation Partnership Project(3GPP)has been completed,but the research and performance evaluation of 5G,B5G and 6G wireless communication systems is still an important topic.In order to better evaluate system performance under real channel environments and real-time data services,more attention has been paid to the emulation approach for 5G communication systems,which develops a software platform with a complete protocol stack on a server and uses a simulation interface to connect to the radio hardware platform to realize a demonstration and verification emulation platform for 5G communication systems.The thesis is based on the "B5G and 6G Public Service Platform Project",a key project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Public Service Platform for Industrial Technology Infrastructure Project".In view of the current situation that there is no complete full protocol stack of 5G communication system emulation platform in the industry,this thesis is based on the design and implementation of emulation platform for 5G NR(New Radio)based on the OpenAirInterface(OAI).The main research content of this thesis is divided into two parts.1.The design of the OAI-based 5G NR emulation platform.Firstly,the platform requirements are analyzed and the OAI gNB+OAI UE(noS1)emulation platform for 5G NR independent networking is designed for the testing requirements of the complete 5G NR protocol stack and the emulation platform stability requirements.The OAI platform is designed for downlink synchronization and random access,which are key 5G technologies not implemented in the OAI emulation platform,focusing on the design of the primary synchronization signal detection module,secondary synchronization signal detection module,physical broadcast channel detection module,and the preamble sequence transmission module and random access response module based on non-competitive random access,so that the base station network elements and UE network elements in the emulation platform can realize uplink and downlink synchronization according to the 3GPP protocol.2.The implementation and verification of the OAI-based 5G NR emulation platform.The overall process of downlink synchronization and random access in the base station and UE network elements and the specific process of each module are implemented,and the implementation process involves multiple layers of protocols and multiple channels.The emulation platform designed in this thesis is proved to be feasible and can be used as a validation platform for subsequent development of the projects.
