Nowadays,with the popularization of edge computing technology,in order to provide highly accessible services and computing resources to nearby users,edge servers are usually deployed on base stations and other types of equipment.However,due to the limited storage space of edge servers,it becomes particularly difficult to perform redundant backups on edge servers for services that may fail.Therefore,the self-adaptive mechanism of services in the edge computing environment will become an important means of repairing faulty service components.Among them,finding replaceable services in edge servers is one of the effective techniques to ensure system flexibility and implement self-adaptive mechanisms.This paper takes the self-adaptive mechanism of services in edge computing as the main research goal,and it studies the self-adaptive approach involved in the fault repair of services in the working environment.Aiming at the problem of too long replacement time for faulty service components,a replaceable service discovery and scheduling approach are proposed to achieve the purpose of quickly repairing faulty service components with replaceable services in a single edge server and multiple edge server environments.The innovations of this article include the following two aspects: Firstly,it uses checkpoint-based service self-adaptation mechanism workflow to avoid performing faulty component repair work from scratch.Secondly,judging the relevance of replaceable services based on Difflib technology extends the effectiveness of replaceable services.At the same time,all of the experiments in this article are based on the real network environment.Through experimental tests,the replaceable service discovery and scheduling approach proposed in this article has a good improvement in the time-consuming model compared with the adaptive algorithm,both of constructing replaceable service discovery and scheduling selector have better performance,and the self-adaptive mechanism which considers the influence factors of similar replaceable services has better self-adaptive capabilities in a specific server environment.The experimental results show that the implemented replaceable service discovery and scheduling approach can complete the self-adaptive process effectively,the mentioned replaceable service search approach with similar functions can effectively consider the impact of failure recovery when there is no replaceable service.Finally,the replaceable service discovery and scheduling approach constructed in the real network environment have better execution efficiency when the replaceable service granularity is large.
