In the era of knowledge economy,public libraries shoulder the mission of providing high-quality reference and consulting services for readers in a learning society.The continuous improvement of readers' information capabilities and needs requires extending the service methods of public library reference and consulting work to help readers quickly and accurately acquire knowledge.Traditional reference consulting services are mainly because librarians spend a lot of time and energy to provide assistance to user needs.Facing the needs of a large number of users,a single service model is difficult to meet,and it is impossible to achieve effective answers to questions and answers in time and space.User consulting data is relatively scattered.,Collection and integration is also a big problem.Aiming at the problems of poor timeliness,inactivity,and lack of functions in the virtual reference consulting services of public libraries,explore the necessity of using Intelligent Question Answering System(QA)technology to carry out consulting work.Intelligent Q&A allows users to interact with readers in a natural way,enhancing the consulting experience.Compared with traditional search engines that return tens of thousands of results,rely on user identification and draw conclusions,it solves the contradiction between disordered information and user specific needs,saves screening time,quickly obtains target knowledge,and satisfies users The need for high-quality information.Research on knowledge-oriented intelligent question and answer to make up for the lack of virtual reference services in public libraries.Aggregated question and answer resources are integrated into the intelligent question and answer system,and a consultation space with higher retrieval efficiency and more practicality is established on the Internet,fully digging out users'intentions and needs,and obtaining users' actual query needs for correct retrieval,perfecting knowledge services and innovation development of.analysis based on the model,and make process analysis with specific problems.Finally,it is the research summary,discussing the deficiencies and prospects of this research.The reference and consulting work of public libraries uses Q&A service optimization,uses digital technology to integrate,organize,process,retrieve and utilize resources,optimize resource strategies from a technical dimension,and enrich readers' consulting corpus.The convenient consulting services provided by intelligent question answering realize the coordinated development of classic consulting services and intelligent technology,promote users' enthusiasm for reference consulting,enhance public library reference consulting services,and promote the digital construction of libraries.
