With the progress of science and technology and the popularization of electronic equipment,many people's reading is carried out through the Internet and other ways.Graphic,text and audio and video information of digital reading,has brought readers a new feeling,and its advantages such as convenient access,relatively low price,massive information and fast communication are incomparable for paper resources.At the same time,it should be noted that paper reading also has its irreplaceable advantages.In university libraries,in order to meet the evaluation of teaching level,every university tries to ensure the investment in the construction of literature resources,and strive to achieve the hard indicators stipulated by the ministry of education,paper books still occupy a dominant position.However,what is common in university libraries now is that the reading rate of paper books has decreased significantly,which has been unprecedented.Many books that will be taken off the shelves are just like not having been read,which is just like new books.Therefore,this paper will take Tiangong university as an example,analyze the readers factors and library factors influencing the reading behavior and willingness of library books,and put forward corresponding suggestions according to the research results,hoping to improve the utilization rate of paper books in university libraries,as follows:The first part is to elaborate the research background and significance,and then to summarize the research status of reading intention at home and abroad.The second part is the interpretation and discussion of relevant concepts and theories,including the concepts of reading,paper reading and digital reading,reading intention,self-determination theory and subtheories,and some statistical analysis methods to be used.The third part is the research design,which mainly includes the structure design of the questionnaire,the pre-research of the questionnaire,the formal issuance of the questionnaire,and the introduction of the processing methods used after the data collection.The fourth part is data analysis.The deleted data are analyzed through SPSS software,and the results table of data analysis is listed,and the corresponding phenomena and conclusions reflected in the data are expounded according to the results table.The fifth part is the conclusion and suggestion,summarizes the conclusions of the data analysis in the previous part,and puts forward some suggestions for improvement.The sixth part is divided into the deficiencies in the analysis and research and the research direction that may be improved in the future is prospected accordingly.Through descriptive analysis,this study found that university students' willingness to read paper books is not very low,but their reading behavior of books is relatively small.The key point is how to turn their willingness into reading behaviors and effectively improve students' reading behaviors.Through further data analysis,it is found that the controlled motivation dimension has a positive impact on the reading willingness of college students and has no effect on their reading behavior.The autonomic motivation dimension has a positive impact on the reading willingness and reading behavior of college students(including the number of reading and number of borrowing books).The reading ability of college students also has a positive impact on their reading willingness and reading behavior(including the number of reading times and number of books borrowed).The reading content provided by the library has a positive impact on the number of books borrowed by college students and the willingness to read.However,the reading environment and reading service of the library only have a positive impact on the reading willingness and no impact on the reading behavior.It is concluded that we can improve the book reading behavior of college students by improving the autonomy motivation,reading ability and reading content of college libraries.
