Curved electronics has a broad application prospect in aerospace,curved display,medical monitoring,national defense and so on,but the manufacturing of curved electronics face many challenges.Electrohydrodynamic(EHD)jet printing is a new type of printing technology with high resoluton driven by electric field.EHD jet printing technology has the advantages of high resolution,large area,and high efficiency,when applied to the manufacturing of curved electronics.However,the existing three-axis EHD jet conformal printing can not adapt to the large curvature substrate.Electric field on curved substrate will disturb the EHD jet printing and influence printing quality,for which five-axis EHD jet conformal printing is proposed to eliminate the influence of electric field on curved surface in this thesis.Considering the particularity of five-axis EHD jet conformal printing,the special five-axis postprocessing algorithm has been studied,and the platform software system integrated post-processing algorithm has been developed.Vertical printing of the nozzle on the curved surface is realized,so that the printing quality of EHD jet printing on the curved surface substrate is improved.The main work of this thesis includes the following three points:(1)The post-processing algorithm for five-axis conformal EHD jet printing is studied.Based on the analysis of the movement chain of the five-axis conformal printing platform,the mathematical formula is established between interpolation coordinate and axis coordinate by kinematic solution.Because the fixed feed rate will make printing speed fluctuate,the Hermite algorithm is used to constrain the time,position and speed of each interpolation segment,ensuring that the speed of EHD jet printing in each interpolation segment is constant and smooth.(2)The software system of curved electronic integrated manufacturing has been developed.Based on the curved electronic integrated manufacturing platform,a software system integrating multiple process steps is developed.More importantly,the post-processing algorithm is integrated into the software system,which make platform realize five-axis electrohydrodynamic jet conformal printing to avoid influence of electric field on curved surface.By comparing the printing effect of five-axis and threeaxis EHD jet conformal printing,experiments show that the five-axis EHD jet conformal printing has better printing quality.(3)The curved eletronics have been fabricated by five-axis EHD jet conformal printing.Electrohydrodynamic jet printing conductive silver paste and photoresist mask is one of the typical additive and reductive manufacturing method respectively.The effect of printing process parameters on the conductivity and width of printed fiber have been studied,which provides guidance for controllable EHD jet conformal printing.Then,the curved circuit and the conformal antenna structure are fabricated by the above two printing methods respectively,which verify the feasibility of five-axis EHD jet conformal printing for manufacturing of curved electronics.
