Faced with the harsh environment like cavern?underwater?space?underground pipe corridor?fire scene?battlefield?virus infection site?high radiation scene where humans are difficult to reach or network signal is poor.Rescue robot,exploration robot,search robot often play an important role in replacing humans.However,those situation require delicate,fast and timely operations.Traditional robot system transmit image data from working site to remote expert with huge amount of data,and immensely influenced by distance and the intensity of signal.The time-lag in traditional system is so long that lead to some robot system cant meet the standard of accurate operation.Facing the problem of time-lag in the transmission process,on the one hand,because of the large amount of data,on the other hand,because the remote end doesn't store the environmental info of the working site.Omnidirectional SLAM can solve these two problems.It extracts the key environmental info at working site with the advantage of small data size.It eliminate the redundancy of transmitted data when robot is moving at low speed..The omnidirectional point cloud data allows experts to observe the point cloud image of the corresponding perspective in time when the perspective is rotated.Therefore,in this paper,we build a system about remote tree-dimensional environment display system by combining virtual reality technology and omnidirectional SLAM based on direct method It responsible for the vision and display part of remote operation robot system.It not only can rebuild the remote environment in real time,but also can effectively deal with poor signal strength and signal instability.
