With the rise of the mobile Internet,display technology has profoundly influenced human's life styles.The display technology based on phase change material(PCM)attracted much attention due to its advantages of video-rate,high-resolution and full-color.However,the current display technology based on PCM cannot meet the needs of flexibility,and related research is still in the early stages.This paper systematically studies the flexible properties of phase change materials and related mechanisms.Using the buckled structure to improve the stretchability of reflective display technology based on PCM.We explored the optical structural design of emissive display technology based on PCM,Finally,we developed a new type of phase change composite material that can be applied to reflective or transmissive display technology.The main content of the thesis includes:Directly depositing the multilayer film of the reflective display on the flexible substrate by magnetron sputtering,relying on the scanning electron microscope to measure its micro-morphology.Revealing that the micro cracks of the multilayer film on the flexible substrate affect photoelectric stability of display technology based on PCM.And we proposed the buckled structure to improve the stretchability of reflective display technology based on PCM.The vacancy mechanism is used to analyze the flexural properties of the phase change materials with different structures.The reflective display based on PCM can be stretched up to 10%,and its stable optical performance has been verified;An emissive display technology based on PCM and quantum dots is proposed,which meets the needs of flexibility.In combination with the transmission matrix method,the emissive display technology is performed for two different types of quantum dot backlights,monochrome and white.The optical design of the display technology,compared with the traditional liquid crystal display(LCD),its backlight utilization efficiency has been improved by more than 3 times;Finally,a composite material that can be applied to the above two types of display technology was developed.It was prepared by combining the phase change material powder and the polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)frame.The phase change composite material with low Young's modulus characterized.The elongation at break of the composite exceeds 200%,which greatly improves the flexibility of the display technology based on PCM.
