With the development of military struggle,the radar target environment has become extremely complicated.The target environment is flooded with various interference and clutter signals.Therefore,radar system based on traditional radar technology cannot meet the more demanding combat requirements.Compared with traditional radar,cognitive radar can intelligently adjust its configuration(such as signal transmission timing,working mode and resource allocation method)according to external environment and target characteristics.Obviously,cognitive radar has changed the one-way information processing method of traditional radar technology,and significantly improved the overall performance of radar systems.The current research on the theory and methods of cognitive radar focuses on a certain one-way technology,which is not systematic.In response to this problem,we first deeply analyzed the core features of cognitive radar and constructed a cognitive radar detection system framework.Secondly,we conducted research and design from three aspects:priori information acquisition,cognitive transmission,and cognitive reception processing.Finally,we have initially implemented a cognitive radar simulation system.The main work content and results of this paper are as follows:1.Analyzed traditional phased array radar systems and conventional radar signal processing methods.First,we briefly introduce the common processing flow and related algorithm principles in radar systems,which are the basic components of most radar systems.Then,we combined the algorithm module to complete the simulation of the phased array radar system,which can perform multi-target detection and tracking simulation processing.Finally,we analyzed the limitations of traditional radar systems in tracking and other aspects.2.Constructed a cognitive radar detection system framework.Based on this framework,we simulated and implemented relevant cognitive detection technologies.First,we subdivide the system framework into four modules:environment,antenna,signal processing,and cognitive processing.Secondly,we propose a parameter estimation method based on sparse reconstruction algorithm,through which the prior knowledge of clutter can be obtained.Then,for the multi-target tracking scenario,we adopted a launch resource management method.With limited resources,this method ensures the tracking accuracy requirements of each tracking target,and improves the overall performance of the radar system when tracking multiple targets.Finally,we implemented a fast transmit waveform and beam optimization method,which based on the fundamental beam and fundamental waveform ideas.This method effectively supported the implementation of the resource management scheme.3.Designed a cognitive radar detection simulation system.First,we divide the simulation system into a computing processing platform and a display control platform.Finally,we introduced and displayed the radar management subsystem and display control platform.
