With the rapid development of modern information technology,society's requirements for data transmission rate,spectrum efficiency and energy efficiency have significantly increased.5G technology has become the trend of wireless communication.How to reduce energy consumption has become an urgent problem in wireless communications.Index Modulation(IM)is an effective technology to reduce system complexity and energy consumption,which can use new dimensions to improve the data transmission rate.Based on a single-carrier frequency domain equalization(SC-FDE)system and a multi-carrier code shifted differential chaos shift keying(CS-DCSK)system,this paper designs two systems with for non-coherent reception.The main innovations in this article are summarized as follows:(1)Combining IM with SC-FDE,and incorporating the square law envelope detector(SLED),a low-complexity generalized time-domain index modulation technology(GTD-IM).Based on the two-dimensional constellation diagram,the system expands the time domain to the third dimension of the transmission to increase the transmission bit rate.The receiver uses SLED to detect the maximum energy to estimate the indices,thereby effectively reducing the complexity of the system.Then we analyze the data rate and system complexity of GTD-IM system,and prove the superiority of the system through simulation experiments.(2)Combining index modulation technology with multi-carrier CS-DCSK(MC-CS-DCSK)technology,a CS-DCSK with frequency index modulation(FIM-CS-DCSK)is proposed.Compared with MC-CS-DCSK system,this system uses sub-carrier index to transmit information,which improves the data transmission rate of the system.At the receiver,the system does not need any channel estimation and channel equalization to demodulate.Because the system can obtain the indices by detecting the maximum energy,which greatly reduces the complexity of the system.At the same time,the theoretical formula of the bit error rate(BER)of the system under Gaussian channel and multipath Rayleigh fading channel is derived,and the correctness of the theoretical derivation is proved by simulation experiments.Finally,the system is compared with the MC-CS-DCSK system to verify the performance advantages of the system.
