Inflatable antenna has the merits of folding small in size,high reliability,light weight and low cost so as to become the research hotspot in antenna in recent years.It has a good development prospect in the field of future communication.The domestic research on the structure of the inflatable has a late start and there are not many studies of the foundation problems.The research on inflatable antenna mostly concentrated on the space inflatable parabolic antenna reflector surface precision of measurement,the simulation analysis and primary trial on making the inflatable antenna with the serious leaking problems.Based on this,this subject mainly researched the process optimization of manufacturing the inflatable antenna including the selection of raw material,the improvement of crafts and the functional test of the inflatable antenna molded in the study.First of all,on the basis of domestic and foreign paper,we summarized the study background and basis of structure design and manufacturing material of the inflatable antenna and its research status of raw material at home and abroad.The material's mechanical performance was tested,which showed the priority to making the inflatable antenna and coincidence to requirement of the low cost.Secondly,the optimization for manufacturing way,professional adhesive and the auxiliary models was studied.Comparing the mechanical performance and air impermeability of the inflatable antenna before and after the optimization.Next,completion of the selection of the raw material and the optimization of manufacturing process a 1.8-meter antenna prototype was done after finishing the joint work of the reflecting surface,the spherical surface and auxiliary parts.Again,the air impermeability test of the inflatable antenna was done.The molding shape was tested under the setting pneumatic.The results showed the great molding after the setting pressure.The entire air impermeability of the inflatable antenna was tested by the ultrasonic leak detector.Finally,some conclusions of this subject were summarized and some shortages and some suggestions were pointed out for further researches,which could provide some valuable references for the industrialization of the antenna.
