As the implementers of preschool education,kindergarten teachers' professional quality,especially their professional ability,has an obvious impact on the efficiency and quality of educational activities.Through questionnaire survey and case study,this study takes kindergarten teachers at different professional development stages as the research object to compare their professional ability level.Through the investigation of 764 kindergarten teachers and the case analysis of 12 teachers,this study finds that the professional ability of kindergarten teachers is at a high level,the teachers in the adaptation period are significantly worse than those in other professional development stages in the overall and sub dimensions,and the kindergarten teachers in the exploration period are significantly lower than those in the mature period in terms of environmental creation and utilization ability;According to the case study,the overall professional ability performance level of kindergarten teachers is high,but they all lack objective and systematic evaluation ability,and the professional ability development of kindergarten teachers in different professional development stages is uneven;Through the comparison of demographic variables,there is no significant difference in the professional ability of kindergarten teachers at different professional development stages in the urban and rural areas of the same region,and there is no significant difference in the variables of private kindergarten,college degree or below and non preschool education,but there are significant differences in the variables of public kindergarten,bachelor degree or above and preschool education.In view of the current situation of kindergarten teachers' professional ability at different professional development stages in the results of this study,this study puts forward the following suggestions:Adaptation period: be familiar with job requirements,consolidate professional foundation and establish professional self-confidence;Exploration period: actively expand ability,improve professional structure and consolidate career adaptation;Maturity: have the courage to break through yourself,develop professional experience and overcome job burnout;Scholar period: strengthen internal motivation,be good at professional refinement and pursue professional excellence.In order to improve the professional development support and guarantee system of kindergarten teachers,help kindergarten teachers clarify the direction of professional independent development,and promote the better professional development of kindergarten teachers.
