As early as 2015,General Secretary Xi clearly pointed out that our country should build a learning society in which "everyone can learn,learn everywhere and learn from time to time".The relevant policy documents of the 19 th National Congress also clearly pointed out the requirements of "improving the learning society and lifelong education system and building a learning society".As a new indicator of talent training in modern society,learning ability covers all aspects related to students’ lifelong development,such as learning motivation,learning perseverance,learning ability and learning creativity.Improving students’ geography learning ability is conducive to meeting the needs of students’ lifelong learning,building a learning society as soon as possible and entering the ranks of powerful talent countries as soon as possible.As for geography learning ability,generally speaking,it refers to the various geographical abilities that students should have on the basis of lifelong learning.What teaching strategies can be adopted in geography classroom teaching to improve students’ geography learning ability is the core task of this paper.It includes the following aspects:The first part discusses the research background,significance,ideas and methods of this paper by using the literature research method.Master the research status of "learning ability" and "geography learning ability" at home and abroad,and define the relevant concepts.The second part: theoretical basis and current situation investigation.While defining the concept of geography learning ability,this paper analyzes the guiding significance of lifelong development theory,cognitive constructivism theory,humanism theory,recent development zone theory,innovative personality theory and other theories to this paper.On this basis,taking the students of R middle school in Tianjin as the survey object,this paper investigates the current situation of junior middle school students’ geography learning ability,and analyzes the existing problems and reasons,so as to provide the basis for the subsequent strategy research.The third part: the teaching strategies of Improving Junior Middle School Students’ geography learning ability.Through further sorting out the research conclusions,this paper puts forward the strategies to improve the geography learning ability of junior middle school students from the four dimensions of the four factors affecting the geography learning ability: changing the learning view and enhancing the internal motivation;Arouse students’ curiosity and enhance their internal motivation through "strangeness","novelty","wisdom" and "beauty";Enhance anti frustration ability and cultivate learning perseverance.The cultivation of perseverance is mainly through interest,confidence and methods;Broaden thinking ability and cultivate learning ability.The cultivation of ability can be carried out through the implementation of core literacy and trying a variety of teaching methods;Guide students to question and deepen the cultivation of innovation;Establish a new evaluation model of students’ self-evaluation and mutual evaluation to realize the development of learning ability.The fourth part: the design of teaching cases to improve junior middle school students’ geography learning ability.Select the special activity of "earth and globe" in Section 1,Chapter 1,Volume 1,Grade 7,junior middle school geography of people’s Education Edition-making globe as a teaching case for design.Excavate the characteristics of geography itself-interest,and stimulate students’ geography learning motivation;Through teaching links,cultivate students’ geography learning ability;Through the operation process,exercise the perseverance of geography learning;Through the display of achievements,we can form the creativity of geography learning.The fifth part: research conclusions and deficiencies.This paper summarizes the basic views of this paper,and puts forward that due to the limitations of objective conditions such as time and energy,there are some imperfections.In the future,we need to further expand the number of survey samples and implement teaching cases in middle schools.We believe that the research on teaching strategies to improve geography learning ability will be continuously enriched and improved in the future.
