In order to solve the problems of rural teacher shortage,weak strength,structural imbalance and weak professional ability,China implemented the rural compulsory education stage special post plan in 2006,referred to as "special post Plan".After three years of service,some teachers choose to stay in rural Shools.The quality of work and life after retention will affect whether these special post teachers can serve rural education for a long time,which is related to the stability of rural teachers.This study adopts the empirical research method to investigate the current situation of working life quality of retained special post teachers,analyze the influencing factors,and put forward countermeasures to improve the quality of working life,in order to promote the stability of rural teachers.In this study,926 retained teachers of special post in western Anhui were selected as the research ob Aects by means of questionnaire and interview.The results show that the overall quality of work and life of the retained special post teachers is low;Among the four first-level dimensions,the work dimension is medium level,while the individual dimension,organization dimension and society dimension are low level.In 11 secondary dimensions,salary and welfare benefits,work and family leisure,working environment and conditions,training development are medium level,while work characteristics,physical and mental health,work honor and achievement,social support,organization and management,interpersonal atmosphere,social security are low level.There are significant differences in the quality of work and life in terms of the year of entry,the number of sub Aects taught,workload,monthly income,the consistency between the ma Aor taught and the ma Aor studied,the distance between home and Shool,and the county(district);In terms of gender,age,professional title and growth environment,there is only significant difference between "work and family leisure",and there is no difference in other items.There was no significant difference in marital status,educational background,teachers’ ma Aor or not,Shool type.The factors that affect the quality of working life of retained special post teachers mainly include three aspects.First,the social level of teacher welfare is not guaranteed,the implementation of national policies is declining,the working and living environment is closed,the spare time life is poor and boring,parents’ communication ability is limited,and the transportation conditions are relatively backward.Second,the humanistic care at the Shool level is lacking,the operation of evaluation and assessment is abnormal,the burden of non-teaching work is heavy,the teaching and training guidance is insufficient,and the accommodation conditions are obviously different.Thirdly,teachers have problems in physical and mental health,lack of career development planning,increasingly prominent Aob burnout,increasingly prominent family problems,inability to treat income rationally,and insufficient integration into rural society.The strategies to improve the quality of work and life of retained special post teachers in western Anhui mainly include four aspects: first the government and society should improve the status of teachers and strengthen the atmosphere of respecting teachers;Improve infrastructure construction,build a good living environment;Care for teachers,help and support teachers in many ways;Caring about teachers’ marriage and love,building rural dating platform.Second,the educational administrative departments should improve the accommodation conditions to meet the basic needs of teachers;Pay attention to teacher training,improve the professional quality of teachers;Implement the post rotation policy to improve the teaching level of teachers;Reduce examination and evaluation,reduce the extra burden of teachers;Implement supervision and inspection to ensure the implementation of policies.Third,Shools should attach importance to humanistic care and reduce teachers’ worries;Regular physical examination counseling,promote physical and mental health development;Standardize the evaluation and assessment,and evaluate teachers fairly and Austly;Support teachers’ work,strengthen communication and cooperation between Shool and home;Add cultural and recreational facilities to enrich teachers’ cultural life.Fourthly,teachers should set up correct values and treat their income rationally.Pay attention to professional development and do a good Aob in career development planning;Improve teaching and research ability,actively participate in di Sipline competitions;Strengthen communication and actively integrate into Shool life;We will help revitalize rural areas and foster a passion for rural education.
