Objective: On the basis of understanding the status quo of 5-6 year old children's physical activity and executive function, the cross-sectional research method is used to explore the impact of physical activity on executive function, and to provide theoretical and empirical basis for further exploring and improving the direction of physical activity to improve children's executive function. Methods: Using a multi-stage hierarchical sampling method,a total of 170 children(5-6 years old)from multiple kindergartens in certain city were selected. The Acti Graph GT3 X three-axis accelerometer was worn for 7 days to measure their daily physical activity, and the executive function level of preschool children's executive function behavior rating questionnaire parent version(Behavior Rating Scale of Executive Function-Preschool Version,Brief-P)was used to measure their executive function level. After screening, the effective data of 149 cases were finally included and analyzed by SPSS22 software, and the linear regression model was used to explore the effect of physical activity on improving the executive function of 5-6 year old children.Results:(1)The subjects' TPA time was 110.84±22.52 min/day,LPA time was 36.23±7.53min/day,and MVPA time was 74.55±16.77 min/day.82.6% of children reached the recommended amount of MVPA.(2)MVPA is significantly negatively correlated with children's total executive function score(?=-0.217)?inhibitory function score(?=-0.103)?cognitive flexibility score(?=-0.079)and working memory score(?=-0.090).(3)It is found that there is an inverted U-shaped dose-effect relationship between MVPA and children's total executive function and working memory.71.39 ?83.33min/day MVPA has the best effect on improving children's total executive function and working memory.(4)The effect of physical activity on the executive function of 5-6 year old children only exists in boys, and no correlation is found in girls.Conclusion:(1)The MVPA of 82.6% of 5-6 years old children reached the recommended standards in the "Guidelines for Exercise of Preschool Children(3-6 Years)" in my country.(2)MVPA can improve children's executive functions and various subdomains to a certain extent.(3)There is an inverted U-shaped dose-effect relationship between MVPA and children's total executive function and working memory.(4)There is a correlation between physical activity and executive function in boys, but not in girls.
