The Value Of School Social Work And Local Practice Of Tao Xingzhi’s Life Education Theory

Mr.Tao Xingzhi,a great educator,educational thinker and educational reform practitioner,who created educational theories such as Life education and Creative Eeducation,and also,refined the connotation of life education thought of "life is education,society is school,integration of teaching and doing".He established Xiaozhuang Normal School and Yucai School,put forward the educational form of "Shanhai Worker Education Group",and created new educational interactive modes such as "mr.small" and "art friend system".Social localization should not only learn from western theories and ideas,but also start with local theories and ideas.Tao Xingzhi’s Life Education theory,which is based on China’s basic national conditions,is a brand-new education theory founded in constant exploration and practice.During the Republic of China,many famous scholars,such as Tao Xingzhi,made great contributions to the professional education and practice of social work.Tao Xingzhi’s life education,which is advanced,popular,developmental and practical,and has important guiding significance for the localization of social work theory and practice.From the perspective of social work,this paper systematically combs and analyzes Tao Xingzhi’s Life Education theory.Starting with the analysis of the ideological origin and connotation of the theory,it is found that Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory is highly coupled with social work values such as equality,acceptance,self-determination,helping others to help themselves,great love spirit and people-oriented.Through a series of practical analysis of Tao Xingzhi’s implementation of life education thought,it is found that his specific operation methods are highly coupled with the three major operation methods of social work cases,groups and communities,even include their service fields.In the 1980 s,Hechuan Chongqing established the first county-level ceramic research meeting in China,and started the overall experiment of life education.After more than 30 years,it achieved remarkable results in life and labor education.Researcher took YC Primary School in Hechuan District,as a research point,participated in the field observation,and through the analysis of school history,social work intervention path,school practice results,etc.,launched Tao Xingzhi’s Life Education theory to discuss the cultivation of school social work professionals,optimization of social work practice operation methods and contents,etc.Through this research,we hope to provide reference for the development of contemporary professional social work to find local theoretical and practical basis,provide local experience and new ideas of localization for school social work,and contribute to the development of social work theory and practice.
