As an assistant teaching tool,mind mapping has been gradually integrated into the teaching of mathematics in primary school.It is one of the important research topics that how to take full advantage of the visual characteristics of mind mapping and make it to play a greater role in primary school mathematics teaching.The study on the action of using mind mapping to do unit review of primary school mathematics is of great practical significance for improving primary school mathematics teaching methods,innovating teaching models,and improving teaching effects.Through the action research method and based on the characteristics of primary school mathematics teaching,this study introduces mind mapping into the unit review of primary school mathematics,which helps students to integrate knowledge and construct knowledge frameworks,thereby visualizing students' thinking process,and exploring how to use mind mapping to improve the efficiency of unit review.According to the knowledge visualization theory,we conducted the action research on study subjects as follows: firstly,through questionnaires and interviews with students and teachers,we got to know the current situation of the application of mind mapping in primary school mathematics teaching,and formulated action research plans based on actual conditions;secondly,according to the action research plan,three rounds of action research were carried out in Primary School A in Jinan City,and the teaching effectiveness of using mind mapping was verified by applying mind mapping in math unit review;finally,we proposed an implementation strategy for primary school math unit review using mind mapping,aiming to construct a new model of unit review.The basic conclusion of this study is that mind mapping has unique application value in the unit review of primary school mathematics teaching: firstly,it stimulates students' learning interests and learning motivation;secondly,it cultivates students' creative thinking and innovation abilities;and thirdly,it can be used to create teaching resources for differentiated tutoring.In accordance with teaching practice,this study proposes the following suggestions for the application of mind mapping in the unit review teaching of primary school mathematics: the first is to renew teaching ideas and enhance professional accomplishments;the second is to introduce mind mapping properly and use it repeatedly;and the third is to make assessments and get feedback timely.
