The number of the students who attend the supplementary tutoring has gradually increased,which has caused anxiety over the whole society.Is the supplementary tutoring necessary to improve students' academic performance?Is it a long-term psychological placebo or a necessary condition for significantly improving performance?The purpose of this article is to explore the influencing factors of supplementary tutoring and its impact on performance to verify the rationality of the policy.This article will update the data from the China Education Panel Survey(CEPS).Using the method of PSM-DID and the Binary Logistic model,I will conduct research and discussion on whether after-school tutoring can significantly improve students' academic performance.Using the PSM-DID method to perform regression analysis on the model,it was shown that under the condition of not putting in and putting in the control variables,attending at least one main subject tutoring class and attending a Chinese tutoring class,math tutoring class and English tutoring class respectively,the results of the double difference model analyzed the effects of grades and Chinese,mathematics and English grades.In the research,it is indicated that the students who have got higher grades are more willing to attend the supplementary tutoring classes.It can be seen that attending a tutoring class has no significant effect on grades.This article also provides evidence for the country's current education reform policy,vigorously rectifying extracurricular tutoring by means of "snatching away" and returning the education subject status to the school again.
