In recent years, the mental health and psychological behavior problems of children and adolescents have become a serious threat to their physical and mental health growth of huge obstacles, and the incidence of mental behavior problems and the prevalence of mental disorders gradually increase,it becomes an important public issue. Some studies have shown that: Chinese children and adolescents students in life satisfaction,sadness,self-efficacy,fear of failure are particularly negative. However, physical exercise can effectively improve the mental health problems of the senior students in primary school. There are numerous studies on the fitness and heart health benefits of physical exercise. The purpose of this study is to explore the internal mechanism of the participation in extracurricular physical exercise,self-confidence and life satisfaction of the senior students in primary school,in order to provide reference for improving the mental health status of senior students and promote their physical and mental health development. In this study,1200 students of the fifth and sixth grade from 7 primary schools in Hubei,Jiangsu,Shanghai and Ningxia were investigated by questionnaire.,1174 questionnaires were collected, and the recovery rate was 97.8%.After sorting out and eliminating invalid questionnaires,1034 questionnaires were obtained, and the efficiency rate was 88%.533 boys(51.5%)and 501 girls(48.5%);590(57.1%)fifth graders and 444(42.9%)sixth graders.Through independent sample T-test,one-way ANOVA,correlation coefficient and regression analysis, the levels of extracurricular physical exercise,self-confidence and life satisfaction were discussed. It provides theoretical and practical reference for deepening the positive effects of extracurricular physical exercises on self-confidence and life satisfaction. Results :(1)There were significant differences in the number of men and women participating in extracurricular physical exercise at different time, intensity and level of exercise(p< 0.05).There were significant differences in the number of students participating in different activities frequency and intensity(p< 0.05).There were significant differences in the number of students participating in different activity time, frequency, intensity and level of exercise amount(p< 0.05).There were significant differences in the number of children participating in different activity time, activity intensity and activity level(p< 0.05).There were significant differences in the number of students with different physical health status in different activity time and activity level(p< 0.05).(2)There was no significant difference in self-confidence between male and female(p> 0.05).The level of self-efficacy and self-performance of the fifth grade students was better than that of the sixth grade students(p< 0.05),but there was no significant difference in the sense of achievement and overall self-confidence level(p> 0.05).Self-confidence levels of students in different family locations were significantly different(p< 0.05).There was no significant difference in self-performance levels between single and non-only children(p> 0.05),Self-efficacy,sense of achievement and general self-confidence of only child were significantly higher than that of non-only child(p< 0.05).The level of self-confidence of students with physical health was significantly better than that of those with normal and poor health(p< 0.05).(3)There was no significant difference between men and women in family, living environment and self-satisfaction and overall life satisfaction(p> 0.05).On the level of school and friend satisfaction, girls were significantly better than boys(p< 0.05).The level of family, school, self and general life satisfaction of grade 5students was significantly better than that of grade 6 students(p< 0.05).There was no significant difference between living environment and friend satisfaction(p> 0.05).The level of overall life satisfaction, living environment satisfaction,self-satisfaction and friend satisfaction of urban students were significantly higher than those of urban and rural students(p< 0.05).However,there was no significant difference between family satisfaction and school satisfaction among students from different regions(p>0.05).The level of self-satisfaction of only children was significantly higher than that of non-only children(p< 0.05),However,there was no significant difference between the only child and the non-only child in the overall life satisfaction level, the satisfaction level of school life, family life, residential environment and friends satisfaction level(p> 0.05).The levels of life satisfaction and overall life satisfaction of students with good health were significantly better than those with average and poor health(p< 0.01).(4)There was significant difference between self-confidence and life satisfaction among students participating in different exercise levels(p< 0.01).The self-efficacy,self-performance and overall self-confidence levels were higher than those of moderate exercise students(p< 0.05).The level of achievement of students participating in large and medium amount of exercise was higher than that of those participating in small amount(p< 0.05).The level of life satisfaction and all dimensions of students participating in heavy exercise were significantly higher than those participating in medium and small exercise(p< 0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the level of life satisfaction between the students who participated in moderate exercise and small exercise(p> 0.05).There was significant positive correlation between exercise,self-confidence and life satisfaction(p< 0.01).After-school physical exercise has positive predictive effect on self-confidence and life satisfaction.After-class physical exercise can produce direct effect on confidence, but the influence on life satisfaction level is realized through the indirect effect of self-confidence.Conclusions:(1)Different gender, grade, family residence, whether an only child, and low physical health, there are differences in the number of students participating in extracurricular physical exercises at different time, frequency, intensity and level of exercise amount.(2)The level of self-confidence of the upper primary students,in the family residence, whether an only child, and health status and other aspects showed significant differences;Levels of life satisfaction among upper elementary school students,by grade, home location, and physical there are obvious differences in conditions and other aspects.(3)Compared with students who participate in large amount of exercise, students with medium and small amount of activity have have a better life satisfaction experience;(4)There is a significant positive correlation between exercise amount and self-confidence,and between exercise quantity and life satisfaction. The amount of exercise has a positive predictive effect on self-confidence and life satisfaction, and there is a highly significant positive correlation between self-confidence and satisfaction,self-confidence has a strong positive predictive role on life satisfaction;life satisfaction, and self-confidence in the hypothesis of this study is true that confidence in the physical exercise plays a fully intermediary role in affecting
