Permutation and combination is a relatively independent part of high school mathematics, which is closely related to real life and is beneficial to improve students' thinking ability. With the deepening of China's education reform and the overall promotion of quality education, traditional examinations and tests have been unable to meet the needs of current education and teaching. Therefore, this study understands students' learning status of permutation and combination from a new perspective, and provides teaching strategies based on this,so as to provide reference for permutation and combination teaching in high schools.First of all, based on the cognitive diagnosis theory--DINA model, the author established the cognitive attributes and hierarchical relationship of 9 knowledge attributes of permutation and combination in high school, determined the Q matrix according to the hierarchical relationship, and compiled the cognitive diagnosis test paper.A total of 336 students in the second grade of a middle school in Shenyang,Liaoning Province were selected as the research objects, and the permutation and combination learning of students was obtained by cognitive diagnostic test using test papers. At the same time,front-line teachers were interviewed to understand the teaching status of permutation and combination.Secondly, based on the results of cognitive diagnosis test and teacher interview, the problems of students in permutation and combination learning are summarized, which are: not deep understanding of concepts, difficulty in extracting mathematical information from problems, incorrect use of problem solving methods, and inaccurate mathematical operations. Then, according to the above problems to analyze the causes of the problem: the concept is not deep understanding is due to the lack of abstract thinking ability; The difficulty of extracting mathematical information in the problem is due to the insufficiency of mathematical reading ability. The incorrect use of solving methods is due to the lack of mathematical analysis ability;Mistakes in mathematical operations are due to a lack of interest in learning. Finally, according to the causes of the problems, the following teaching strategies are proposed: induction strategy, integration of mathematics history strategy, cultivation of mathematical reading ability strategy, mathematical modeling strategy, situational teaching strategy.Combined with the above teaching strategies, the teaching design is carried out to provide reference for permutation and combination teaching.
