Mathematics learning strategy is one of the key factors that affect high-efficiency mathematics learning. The first grade students are in the transitional period of the first grade. If mastering scientific learning strategies, they will lay a solid foundation for efficient learning throughout the junior high school stage, and fundamentally making the burden reduction policy effective. Therefore,it is necessary to investigate the current situation of the learning strategies of the students with different efficiency in the first grade,so as to put forward targeted learning strategies suggestions for the low-efficiency and ordinary efficiency students of the first grade to help them achieve high-efficiency mathematics learning.Using the literature analysis method,it combines the literature on mathematics learning strategies and high-efficiency mathematics learning.By referring to the authoritative mathematics learning strategy questionnaires and scales, taking into account the cognitive characteristics of junior students,it is adapted into "the level of mathematics learning strategies for junior students" Questionnaire".Using the questionnaire as a research tool and processing the data with the help of SPSS software,it combined with the effect size value, analyzing the differences in the level of mathematics learning strategies of students in different efficiency groups for the first grade. Then interviewing with teachers and first-year students,it is in-depth analysis of the reasons for the differences.Next, combing with teachers’ opinions,it puts forward learning and teaching suggestions to improve mathematics learning efficiency. The following conclusions are obtained through research:(1)In terms of the overall level of mathematics learning strategies, there are significant differences between the three different efficiency groups in the first grade, and the use of strategies of the students in the efficient group is significantly better than that of the students in the other two efficiency groups. In the three main dimensions of mathematics learning strategies, there are significant differences among the students in the three efficiency groups in the first grade, and the amount of difference is very large.Further analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the level of retelling strategies between the students in the high-efficiency group and the normal group. There were no significant differences in the level of reflection and adjustment strategies between the students in the high-efficiency group and the normal group, the normal group and the low-efficiency group. The students in the normal group and the low-efficiency group did not differ significantly in their level of reflection and adjustment strategies. There is no significant difference in the level of environmental management strategies.(2)Through interviewing with students and teachers in the first grade of junior high school,it is found that due to the differences in the performance of mathematics learning strategy knowledge, application awareness and learning ability of students in different efficiency groups in the first grade, the differences in their learning efficiency are caused.(3)It puts forward learning suggestions for students in the normal group and low-efficiency group in the first grade: develop a personalized learning plan, enhance the awareness of effective problem solving, and use the wrong question book efficiently;in addition,it puts forward suggestions for improving teachers’ teaching:strengthen the guidance of problem-solving strategies, enrich students’ cognitive structure, systematically guide the process of mathematics learning, grasp questioning skills, and cultivate students’ good learning mood.
