| With the development of the information age,the map teaching resources are developing in the direction of dynamic, intelligent, visual and multi-dimensional,and the Senior High School students’ map capabilities are also expanding toward the virtual geospatial capabilities.Domestic research on map capabilities is mainly focused on the ability to develop students’ two-dimensional maps. There is a lack of research on students’ virtual geospatial capabilities. Therefore, through the literature research method, questionnaire survey method and interview method, the thesis develops the application strategy research of ArcScene to cultivate the virtual geospatial ability of high school students, and provides reference and reference for the first-line geography teachers to carry out map teaching and research. The main findings are as follows:Firstly, through the combing of related literatures, the paper first defines the concept of virtual geospatial capability and divides it into virtual geospatial perception, virtual geospatial expression, virtual geospatial analysis and virtual geospatia l.Secondly, according to the basic functions of ArcScene, the paper summarizes the five main functions of ArcScene applied to geography teaching: three-dimensional display of features, visualization of three-dimensional scenes, layer overlay and control, spatial positioning and query, and creation of dynamic three-dimensional scenes. From the perspective of geography subject development needs, social development needs and supporting conditions, the feasibility of applying ArcScene to high school geography teaching is illustrated. And pointed out the advantages of ArcScene in cultivating high school students’ virtual geospatial ability, such as: can carry out three-dimensional analysis, easy to operate, and is conducive to cultivating students’ three-dimensional space thinking and comprehensive thinking.Thirdly,by analyzing the results of student questionnaires and teacher interviews, the paper finds some problems are here.Above all, students are weak in map learning,two-dimensional maps can not meet lear ning needs,two-dimensional maps are insufficient, and virtual geospatial capabilities are weak.Besides, the teaching methods and resources are more traditional, the effect of map teaching is not ideal, and the ability to cultivate students’ virtual geospatial space is insufficient.Last but not least, the school lacks the software and hardware conditions for cultivating students’ virtual geospatial capabilities. Finally, the thesis focuses on the cultivation of the virtual geospatial ability of high school students.Based on the analysis of the current situation, the paper proposes a targeted training strategy from the student level and the teacher level. Finally, based on the principles of curriculum standards, easy operation and student development,a map teaching case based on ArcScene was designed to explore how to improve students’ virtual geospatial ability in the specific teaching process. |
