The Research On The Cultivation Of Ideals And Beliefs Of "After-2000s" Undergraduate Students

Ideals guide the direction and beliefs determine success.Ideals and beliefs are the spiritual foundation for national rejuvenation,country prosperity,and personal spiritual pillar of growth and progress.The spiritual outlook of the current youths is a sensitive criterion in judging an era’s performance.The youths’ beliefs and attitudes can have a direct impact on the future of the country and the development of the nation.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Comrade Xi Jinping has paid great attention to the ideals and beliefs of undergraduate students and elevated the cultivation work of ideals and beliefs of undergraduate students to a vital position.The state of the young generation can represent the country’s future development trend best.Currently,"after-2000s"undergraduate students,as a group,officially started their university lives.They are a generation who are born at the right time with heavy responsibility.The"after-2000s" students possess particular characteristics of their generation.Independent and unique beliefs in realizing their value,online study mode,rational lifetime goals,extraordinarily open-minded thoughts and other characteristics of the time have posed new enquiries to political education for the university undergrads.The universities are facing a challenge regarding how to provide veracious ideas and beliefs for the students.The research has practical significance in the cultivation of ideals and beliefs of the millennials under the new situation.This paper utilizes literature research method,system analysis method and questionnairc survey method comprehensively.Through taking the Marx and Engels’ ideals and beliefs,Lenin’s,related thoughts on ideals and beliefs,and the relevant theories of the Chinese communist party leaders on ideals and beliefs as the theoretical support,this study states the times value of "after-2000s" undergraduate students’ ideals and beliefs,provides goal orientation for young people growth,ensures the basic guarantee for the implementation of"strengthen moral education and cultivate people" in colleges and universities,guarantees for the construction of socialist harmony and stability effectively,and supports talent basis for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The outline of this study is based on "proposing problems—analyzing problems—solving problems".Section 1 delineates the research background and contribution of this paper,clarifies the current research status domestically and abroad.It is followed by the details of research ideas,research methods and innovative thinking to this topic.Section 2 puts focus on the theoretical foundation and time value of the cultivation of beliefs for the "after-2000s" based on clarifying relevant concepts.Section 3 investigates student’s beliefs and the current education system through results from questionnaires,extrapolating achievements as well as existing problems in education.In addition,the paper aims to elicit a deeper understanding of the cause of the problem from four perspectives including society,universities,families and individual,respectively.Section 4 elaborates the general goal,basic principles,and methodologies of belief education for the "after-2000s" aim to provide the basic ideas in solving such questions.Section 5 explains the proposed educational path for building correct ideas and beliefs for university students.This section is focused on the "how-to" question,in response to the previously discussed existing problems in nurturing students’ beliefs.On the basis of following the overall goals,basic principles and methods of cultivating ideals and beliefs of "after-2000s"undergraduate students,the paper proposes feasible ways from four perspectives of strengthening social supporting role,playing the role of the main position of colleges and universities,consolidating the basic foundation of the family and stimulating the endogenous motivation of students,so as to foster them into ideal,capable,and responsible era talents.
