| In recent years,the issue of education discipline in primary and secondary schools has been receiving widespread attention.However,in the process of school education,the limits of education discipline and corporal punishment,as well as the limits and behavioral boundaries of education discipline,are relatively blurred.On the one hand,teachers discipline and corporal punishment cognitive fuzzy,making it impossible to distinguish punish the exercise of reasonable discipline,corporal punishment or have been involved,resulting in improper conduct disciplinary phenomenon;on the other hand,teacher education evade punishment,not a reasonable exercise their disciplinary powers,The students’ wrong behaviors cannot be given proper and timely punishment,so that the punishment disappears in the teaching activities,which makes the issue more controversial.There are many ambiguities in the theory and practice of the education discipline in Tibetan primary and secondary schools.Based on this,three elementary schools and two middle schools in Tibet are selected as samples,taking the phenomenon of teacher discipline as the starting point,and inspecting teacher discipline behavior from the three dimensions of law,teacher ethics,and human rights.The study found that:(1)Central Tibet Primary school teachers have a vague understanding of education discipline,and it is difficult to distinguish between punishment and corporal punishment;(2)Teachers in Tibetan primary and secondary education disciplines show excessive corporal punishment.79.3% of students have received corporal punishment,and 1.8% of students often suffer from corporal punishment.Physical punishment,0.3% of students always suffer corporal punishment;teachers’ common corporal punishment methods include spanking,spanking,twisting ears,insulting reprimands,and even sitting punishment;(3)Most students accept the teacher for their discipline behavior,but there are 2.1% of the students who were indifferent to the teacher disciplinary behavior;(4)Most parents support teachers’ punishment or even corporal punishment,and only 3.9% of parents oppose teachers’ punishment.The reasons are:(1)Teacher discipline legislation is general;(2)Schools have imperfect standards of teacher discipline behavior;(3)Some teachers have aberrant professional ethics,causing frequent corporal punishment behaviors;(4)Teacher and parents have failed.Adults’ weak awareness of rights protection has led to teachers’ infringements in the disciplinary process.Based on this,from the perspective of law,teacher ethics and human rights protection,it is recommended:(1)Speed up education and discipline legislation and standardize teacher discipline behavior;(2)Improve teacher supervision mechanism and punish their bad behavior;(3)Improve teacher professional ethics,To reduce the occurrence of corporal punishment;(4)Strengthen human rights protection education,so that teachers respect the personality of students;(5)Carry out home-school cooperation conferences,prohibit violations of student rights and other ways to regulate teachers’ punishment behavior. |
