With the popularization and development of mobile Internet,social media has gradually become an important tool for people's study,work and social communication,and the offline social relations have also been gradually transferred to the online.As the "digital natives" with the growth and development of network media technology,the youth group has a longer contact time and a deeper contact mode with social media.However,with the function of social media diversity and relationships of generalization,the developed based on social media and online social interaction has become more complex,the user began to appear negative social behavior tendency and emotional experience.Therefore,it is necessary and valuable to explore the influence of the use of social media by youth groups on individuals from the theoretical perspective related to social communication.From the perspective of social comparison theory,this paper takes We Chat Moments as the specific research scenario and young people aged 14-35 in Moments as the main research object to explore the relationship between social media use and subjective well-being of young people as well as its internal influencing mechanism.On the basis of summarizing and combing relevant theories and existing studies,this paper explores the relationship between social media use and subjective well-being of young people and its internal influencing mechanism.Based on the existing literature review,introducing social comparison orientation as the impact mechanism of intermediary variables,and compares the regulation of the strength of social relations as a mediation effect object variables,to construct the research model of this paper.This study explored the relationship between the variables and their mediating and moderating effects by means of questionnaire survey.The research found that: in general,the youth group's social media use intensity and social comparison tendency level is relatively high.Social media use intensity and the influence of negative correlation relationship between the individual subjective well-being,social comparison orientation in the process of a complete mediation effect,namely the first social media use strength to prefer there were significant positive influence on society,social comparison orientation of subjective well-being exists significant negative impact to implement a mediation effect.Among them,the strength of social relationship with the comparison object can positively influence the level of social comparison tendency,and as a moderating variable,it moderates the relationship between social comparison tendency and subjective well-being.It is worth noting that when the tendency of social comparison reaches a certain level,the happiness of individuals turns from positive to negative,and the more they compare with friends with high social intensity,the lower their happiness will be.At the same time,individual characteristics such as gender,education and number of friends also affect the whole process.In addition,in addition to role pressure,the environmental pressure brought about by the change of users' environment and the situational pressure brought about by the negative experience of using the platform will also cause users' social media burnout and further affect their subsequent withdrawal behavior.In this paper,the youth group of social media use intensity and its influence on subjective well-being are studied,from the Angle of social comparison explains the internal influence mechanism,to help users in social media correctly view when using social media,social interaction with a positive attitude to treat social comparison,the maximum play to the social media positive influence on the individual happiness,try to control the negative effects brought by it,for as well as social media platforms understanding the reason of negative emotional experiences users provide certain reference.
