The society needs innovation and practical inquiry ability.In the Common Senior High School Physics Curriculum Standard(Version 2017),emphasize the cultivation of students' inquiry ability,social inquiry enthusiasm is high,widely used in middle school physics class.In order to understand the current situation of physics inquiry teaching,this study explores valuable experience of teachers and the reasons hindering the development to provide the teachers with more targeted theoretical and practical suggestions,cultivate the ability of inquiry and carry out the thought of reform.Taking Fuzhou City of Fujian Province as an example,the present situation of physics inquiry teaching in senior high schools was investigated.This study used literature research method to sort out relevant literature,questionnaire survey and interview teachers and students of different types of high schools,case survey method and interviewing method,conducts case survey of a senior high school in Fuzhou City to discusses the present situation and the existing problems,and puts forward the improvement suggestions according to the existing problems.Firstly,through the difference test of teachers' background information,it's found that the gender has no significant difference in inquiry-based teaching.There are significant differences in inquiry teaching awareness and evaluation,which are reflected in different educational backgrounds and teaching ages.There are significant differences in organizational form and content from different schools.There are significant differences in teaching consciousness with different professional titles.Secondly,it's found that the following results.The teachers actively carry out inquiry teaching,student acceptance inquiry learning and social concern inquiry teaching.However,the problems arise: The inquiry activity is only formalized other than being substantial.The inquiry process lacks the concern for all the students.The teacher follows the inquiry blindly.The students' inquiry level isn't high.There are differences in teachers' access to inquiry resources.The current college entrance examination system restricts the inquiry teaching greatly.The implementation conditions and environment of inquiry teaching are lacked.The underdevelopment of off-campus resources occurs.Based on the problems discovered after the investigation,this paper puts forward the corresponding suggestions for improvement.The education departments shall improve the training system and increase investment.The society shall take full use of parents and resources in colleges and universities.Schools should strengthen the publicity of inquiry teaching,increase additional educational periodicals,and provide the teachers with inquiry resources.Teachers should form the correct inquiry teaching concept and actively participate in the training.Students shall lay emphasis on inter-group cooperation,reflect their subjectivity and reinforce the consciousness of inquiry learning.
