Education is a job that cultivates people's physical and mental development in a comprehensive and balanced manner.Contemporary education not only requires more fairness and higher quality,but also emphasizes student-centeredness,so as to promote the effective development of student personality.Group teaching is based on the characteristics and personalities of different students.On this basis,students are divided into groups according to corresponding standards to meet the learning needs of different students to the greatest extent and promote the development of students with different learning ability levels.At present,there is a "formalized" teaching phenomenon in group teaching in elementary and middle schools in my country.The group teaching in elementary and middle schools has not formed a relatively mature theory and reasonable grouping standards.A series of practical problems have also been exposed in practice.Current educators should recognize the uniqueness of each student,provide different levels of education for students at different levels,provide each student with appropriate teaching methods and content,and meet the learning needs of each student.On the basis of guaranteeing education fairness,we can teach students in accordance with their aptitude.The practice of group teaching in the United Kingdom began as early as the 17 th century,and it has been developed for hundreds of years.The group teaching in primary and secondary schools has gradually matured and formed characteristics under the guidance of relevant policies and in actual implementation.,The experience is worth learning from group teaching in elementary and middle schools in our country,so as to promote more perfect group teaching in elementary and middle schools in our country.This article uses research methods such as literature research,historical analysis and comparative research to study the group teaching mode in British primary and secondary schools.The group teaching model of British primary and secondary schools is developed in accordance with the educational value orientation of different historical development periods in the United Kingdom.It has experienced four historical development stages: the budding period,the advancing period,the reform period and the prosperity period.In the budding period before the 20 th century,the United Kingdom had just begun to practice group teaching at this time,and pave the way for the subsequent group teaching model;the advancing period from the early 20 th century to the 1960 s,at this time split-type group teaching emerged The model subsequently established its legal status;the reform period from the 1960 s to the 1980 s,during which the mixed-ability group teaching model gradually replaced the split group teaching model;and the boom period from the 1980 s to the present,Subject-based group teaching has developed,and the group teaching model of British primary and secondary schools has begun to develop in the direction of integration and diversification.The three different grouping teaching models do not exist separately,they are integrated and interlinked under the background of the education reform in the UK,and show the momentum of diversified development.The split-based grouping teaching model comes from the theory of "intellectual inheritance",which originated in the British competitive education period and has been inherited to this day;the mixedability grouping teaching model is based on the idea of democratization of education,which is suitable for the British comprehensive education period and can promote The improvement of students' personal and social abilities;the subject-based group teaching model is based on the theory of "multiple intelligences",which can be implemented not only in specific subjects,but also in the whole year.It is currently the main application in British primary and secondary schools.The group teaching model of British primary and secondary schools uses testing methods to group students,and also group the different courses that students learn,and group corresponding resources in the classroom,and also adopt the after-class evaluation of student group teaching.Group evaluation is used to promote the smooth operation of group teaching in British primary and secondary schools.At the level of protection of group teaching,the British Ministry of Education guarantees the formulation of group teaching policies from the source,the Bureau of Education Standards monitors the effect of group teaching operations,the school board's actual implementation process of group teaching from internal managers,and the emergence of timely communicators from the parent committee Opinions have formed a
