This article aims to explore the multiple relationships between social workers and villagers in rural social work services.By analyzing the connotation,formation mechanism and functions of multiple relationships,guide front-line social workers to construct multiple relationships scientifically and rationally.In order to promote rural development of rural social work services.This article adopts qualitative research methods and enters the field without any assumptions.In practice,it is found that front-line social workers and villagers have other relationships beyond their professions,which is the starting point for this research.Taking front-line social workers,clients and villagers that can be encountered as the research objects.Taking participatory observation method and unstructured interview method as the collection of information.Through the analysis of field diaries,the various relationships between social workers and villagers are divided into professional relationships,social relationships and economic relationships.In practice,the author conducts an in-depth analysis of the formation mechanism of multiple relationships.First,social workers tend to have multiple relationships with villagers.Second,social workers play multiple roles in the service,and villagers cannot distinguish its.Third,the lack of self-organization of villagers cannot fill the non-professional service space alienated by social workers,so they must continue to play a daily service.Thus,based on the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of multiple relationships in practice,the author finds that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages,and propose specific measures to construct multiple relationships.First,we need to follow the premise of principle of rationalization of the situation and the supremacy of client,confidentiality and client`s selfdetermination.Second,which requires understanding the essence of multiple relationships that is non-sexual and non-economic.Finally,we must follow the following steps: grasping the interactive characteristics in local practice;playing a comprehensive role and highlighting on professional relationships.
