Higher education majors can be said to be young but rapidly developing,with unlimited potential and also worthy of more researchers’ attention.The master’s degree thesis in the major not only reflects the academic accumulation and research ability of graduate students,but also reflects the quality and level of higher education to a certain extent.This article focuses on postgraduate dissertations in the fifteen years since the first master’s degree research center in Liaoning Province was established.It adopts interdisciplinary methodology and uses graphs,data and text analysis to focus on hot topics and research in the context of relevant rationale.The four dimensions of domain,level and scope,and research methods were respectively explored and analyzed,analyzed the reasons,thoughts and suggestions,in order to optimize the research of the dissertation of higher education graduate students.This article is divided into five parts:The first part is to design and implement the theoretical basis,frame design and map generation of the research.Laid a theoretical foundation for the research,sort out a clear framework,and lay a good foundation for the research of this article.The second part is through the display and analysis of a large number of various charts and data,through the four dimensions of the year,category and school to start a more detailed description of the overall status of the higher education master’s thesis of five universities in Liaoning Province.The third part is to refine and describe the characteristic points in the above process.The research hot topics have strong characteristics of refinement,timeliness,and life,and relatively weak originality,foresight,and history.At the same time,the following characteristics are also found: the fluctuation range of macro policy research is large,the number of specific applied research has been at a high level for many years,the frequency of basic theoretical research is high,and the number of discipline construction research has been low over the years.In addition,general research occupies the majority,and specific targeted research is few.International research objects are more targeted,but translational research is not enough.In terms of methods,the research methodology is not clear,the use of research methods is uneven,and new research methods are constantly emerging.The fourth part combines the characteristics and results produced,and summarizes the main reasons: development of the times and policy adjustments,emerging public opinion hotspots,severe job market competition,restrictions on college backgrounds and research directions,the influence of talent training and curriculum settings,disciplines The short professional construction time is different from the research expertise of the tutor,the utilitarianization of the researcher’s own research purpose and the lack of research ability,etc.Based on this,the fifth part of this research attempts to make preliminary thoughts and suggestions,and proposes that the society should strengthen overall control,pay attention to support and build a mutual assistance platform;colleges and universities use the objective environment to improve research directions and methods;postgraduates correct attitudes and give full play to their initiative And so on,the research on the dissertation of postgraduates in higher education is more optimized.
