In 2011,China’s ministry of Education issued the "Professional Standards for Middle School Teachers(Trial)",the promulgation of which has opened the prelude to the professional development of Teachers in China.Meanwhile,with the continuous deepening of education reform,it is pointed out in The "Decision of the State Council on the Reform and Development of Basic Education" that "building a team of high-quality teachers is the key to promoting quality education.Therefore,to pay attention to and accelerate the professional development of teachers and improve the professional level of teachers are the basic requirements for improving the overall quality of primary and secondary school teachers in China,as well as an important opportunity and measure to realize the new curriculum reform.Yinchuan is the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,and its education level is the highest in the region.However,due to its location in the northwest inland region,there is still a certain gap between its educational resources and education level and that in the developed eastern region of China.Under the background of the new round of college entrance examination reform,combined with the proposal of the concept of geographic core literacy,higher requirements and challenges have been put forward for senior high school geography teachers.Therefore,it is particularly important and urgent to improve the professional level of senior high school geography teachers.Part One: Introduction.This paper mainly introduces the research background andsignificance.This paper summarizes the domestic and foreign literature on teacher specialization and the development history and current situation of geography teacher specialization,provides the theoretical and practical basis for the research of this paper,and finds the entry point of the research of this paper.In addition,the research content,research method and technical route are briefly summarized.The second part: explore the professional development of middle school geography teachers.On the basis of consulting and sorting out a large number of documents and conducting in-depth analysis,this paper defines the concepts of specialty,specialization,teacher specialization development and geography teacher specialization development,analyzes and expounds the connotation of geography teacher specialization development,and constructs the model of geography teacher specialization development.The third part: the investigation and analysis of the present situation of the professional development of geography teachers in yinchuan.This paper takes senior high school geography teachers in Yinchuan city as the object of investigation,adopts questionnaire survey,interview and other methods to comprehensively analyze the current situation of the specialization of senior high school geography teachers in Yinchuan city from three aspects,namely,their professional knowledge,ability and attitude.The fourth part: analyzes the limitation of the professional development of geography teachers in Yinchuan,Ningxia,and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.Through theoretical and empirical research,this chapter analyzes the main factors that influence the professional development of senior high school geography teachers in Yinchuan from two aspects of internal and external factors.Based on the analysis of the results,constructive countermeasures are put forward to promote the professional development of geography teachers in Yinchuan high school,so as to improve the professional level of geography teachers in Yinchuan high school.Part Ⅴ: Conclusion and prospect.The conclusions of this paper are summarized.Through the previous research,this paper puts forward the deficiencies in theoretical research and practical research,and puts forward the prospect for the follow-up research.
