The research summarized the research status of the practical activity classes of the biology subject by inducing and analyzing the research status of the practical activity classes of the biology subject in junior high schools.It is based on the related content of "Okra Standard Production" published by China Agricultural Science and Technology Press and The seventh grade(Volume 1)of "Junior High School Biology" published by People’s Education Press.The research combined with the local resource advantages of rural junior high schools,and focus on the cultivation of students’ scientific inquiry ability.It based on the inquiry learning strategy,cooperative learning strategy,and STSE education strategy,the teaching design is developed for biology.The design of the subject practical activity class provides a model for reference.And a practical research on the teaching design of the planting biology practical activity class was carried out in a rural junior high school in a town of Daxing,Beijing.By letting the junior high school students go out of the classroom and experience personally,the process of planting okra Rethinking and summing up,while trying field management,observe and record the growth and development of okra,conduct planting plan design,conduct social surveys on the prevention and control of okra diseases and pests,and conduct group cooperation exploration on the processing and utilization of okra.After the implementation,the case designed in this study was timely revised and improved on the basis of the students’ feelings in the form of questionnaire survey and interview.And it provide reference for other front-line biology teaching workers to carry out relevant research.Through this series of practical research,the author believes that it is feasible and effective to carry out biological practice activity course in rural junior high schools.Practical activity courses in biology not only improve students’ interest in learning,but also enhance students’ observation ability,operation ability,and logical thinking ability,and promote students’ overall development.The author also reviewed and summarized this research,pointed out the shortcomings,and provided a referencefor the subsequent improvement of the research.
