The reading materials in chemistry textbooks can enable students to understand the scientific value,application value and humanistic value of chemistry,thereby cultivating students' core qualities of chemistry.Therefore,studying the application of knowledge of reading materials in high school chemistry textbooks is of great significance to promote the overall development of students.Comparing the 2017 version with the 2003 version of the general high school chemistry curriculum standards,the new version of the curriculum standards is based on the content framework,and the curriculum objectives have changed from the "three-dimensional goal" to the five-dimensional goal of "the core literacy of chemistry discipline".Therefore,the content and presentation of the reading materials in the general high school chemistry textbooks published by the New People Education Edition in 2019 have undergone major changes.At present,there are very few researches on how to use the reading materials of the new edition textbooks in teaching.This research studies the application of reading materials in high school chemistry textbooks,hoping to provide a reference for how to use reading materials in high school chemistry teaching.This article uses the literature research method to study the relevant literature.On this basis,it combines the "General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standard(2017Edition)","General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standard(Experiment)",constructivism theory,and anchor teaching theory.Analyzing the function of reading materials,it is concluded that reading materials have the functions of stimulating students' interest in learning,guiding students' sense of inquiry,enhancing students' academic ability and cultivating students' spiritual character.Through questionnaire survey,interview and educational observation methods,we investigated front-line chemistry teachers and high school students,and obtained analysis results on the application of reading materials in high school chemistry textbooks of the old and new versions.Through investigations,it is found that the students in the second and third grades of high school lack the interest and initiative in learning reading materials,and the students in the first year of high school have the willingness to learn reading materials,but the learning initiative is weak.There are significant differences in the application frequency of different types of reading materials.The application frequency of reading materials related to cutting-edge chemistry,chemistry in life,chemists and chemical history is relatively high,and the application frequency of esoteric,lengthy,and obsolete reading materials Lower.Through educational observations and interviews,it is found that when teachers use reading materials to organize their teaching,they have concerns about the arrangement of class time,and their content selection is biased towards chemistry reading materials that are closely related to life.Based on the survey results,a strategy for applying reading materials was proposed.Teachers: Strengthen learning guidance and improve students' learning enthusiasm;create teaching situations to guide and evaluate students' scientific inquiry;carry out quality education to cultivate students' awareness of social participation;establish models and methods to enhance students' chemistry subject ability;use modern technology to optimize reading materials Choose an application.For students:independent learning,divergent thinking;cooperative learning,scientific inquiry.Based on the teaching strategy of "Creating Situation",the teaching design was carried out with the section "Chlorine and its compounds" as a case to provide reference for high school chemistry teachers to organize teaching using reading materials.This study believes that in the compilation of reading materials for high school chemistry textbooks,we should fully consider the guidance suggestions and requirements of the new version of the curriculum standards,pay attention to the flexibility of the presentation of the reading materials,and make reasonable choices and developments in the content of the reading materials.
