With the popularization of higher education in China,the expansion of higher education scale has brought about the crisis of higher education quality,and improving the quality of higher education has become the theme of the times.The focus of higher education quality assessment has shifted from external factors such as university reputation and resources to university students' learning and development,and the self-reported learning gains of university students have become the core content of higher education quality assessment.Therefore,to reveal the current situation of college students' learning gains and to probe into the effective ways of improving college students' learning gains is an important link related to the promotion of higher education,and is also the key content of higher education research.In this study,523 undergraduate students from J University were investigated.Based on previous questionnaires,a research questionnaire was developed to understand their perception of teachers' classroom teaching,learning input and learning gains.Then,taking the learning gains of undergraduate students as the breakthrough point,this paper makes an in-depth study of the influence of classroom teaching on learning gains and the influence path,and probes into the mediating effect of College Students' learning investment between classroom teaching and learning gains.With the help of spss22.0 software to analyze the data and amos24.0 software to establish a structural equation model to explore the mediating effect,this study finally draws four main conclusions:First,in this study,classroom teaching includes four dimensions: teaching attitude,teaching content,teaching methods,and teaching skills.It is found that teachers' teaching content and teaching methods have a significant impact on learning outcomes.Classroom teaching can not only directly affect students' learning gains,but also indirectly affect students' learning gains through learning involvemnt.Second,learning involvemnt plays a mediating role between classroom teaching and students' learning gains.Third,classroom teaching has a significant impact on students' learning involvemnt,especially the classroom teaching content.Last,students with different demographic background have different perceptions of classroom teaching,learning involvemnt and learning gains.For example,in terms of gender,the positive attitude of female students is higher than that of male students in classroom teaching;in terms of learning involvement,the active learning input level of male students is higher than that of female students,while the regular learning involvement level of female students is higher than that of male students;in terms of learning gains,the knowledge gains and ability gains of male students are significantly higher than that of female students.In terms of grades,the evaluation of teachers' basic teaching skills shows a downward trend with the growth of grades,and the positive attitude of freshmen is higher.As for the evaluation of learning involvemnt,it shows a "U" trend of decreasing first and then increasing;in the aspect of class performance ranking,the evaluation of students with different performance ranking on active learning involvemnt also shows a "U" trend.The top 10% students have the highest level of active learning involvemnt,while the top 30% to top 70%students have the lowest level of active learning involvemnt.In terms of whether it is a first-class discipline,there are no significant differences in classroom teaching,learning involvemnt and learning gains.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper gives the following suggestions: First,students should be more active in learning and strengthen self-management.Second,teachers should enrich the classroom teaching content.Third,in the process of teaching,teachers should adopt a variety of teaching methods.Fourthly,we should build a harmonious relationship between teachers and students;strengthen the students' subjective consciousness.Fifthly,we should perfect and optimize the organizational system of school,and clear away the mechanism obstacles that affect the learning gain.Finally,this study discusses the shortcomings of the research,in order to improve and perfect the follow-up research.
