The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly points out that "we should promote the integrated development of urban and rural compulsory education and pay attention to rural compulsory education".The balanced development of urban and rural compulsory education is an effective way to shorten the gap between urban and rural areas,and teachers are the key to improve the quality of education and teaching.Their professional development directly affects the quality of teachers,and then affects the balanced development of urban and rural compulsory education in China.This thesis is focused on the western rural junior middle school chemistry teachers’ professional development,with 15 T city,gansu province 45 villages and towns junior high school chemistry teacher as the research object,investigated their current professional development present situation and the cause of the current situation of teachers’ professional development,on the basis of this puts forward the countermeasures to promote the development of western rural junior middle school chemistry teachers’ professional and suggestion.This paper is mainly divided into five parts: I.Introduction: Based on the work report of "Rural Teacher Support Plan(2015-2020)" combined with my education and teaching practice in middle school,I put forward the reasons for the selection of this paper.From the research significance,research purpose,research methods and research ideas,respectively.II.Literature review: Through consulting a large number of domestic and foreign literatures,this paper systematically expounds the domestic and foreign experts and scholars’ research on different aspects of teacher professional development,such as connotation,influencing factors,stages and current situation of teacher professional development.Summarize the limitations of the existing research,and then put forward the research perspective of this paper.III.Investigation and research: Through questionnaire survey and unstructured interview,the professional development status and influencing factors of 45 chemistry teachers in 15 township junior middle schools in T City,Gansu Province were investigated,and the relevant data collected were statistically analyzed.IV.Reason Analysis and Discussion: Through the investigation and analysis of the current situation of the professional development of chemistry teachers in junior middle schools in towns and townships of T City,Gansu Province,it is found that the main factors affecting the professional development of chemistry teachers in junior middle schools in western towns and townships include weak awareness of independent development and inaccurate responsibility positioning.Teaching pressure,lack of demonstration and guidance;The evaluation system of teacher professional development is not reasonable and the school management system is not perfect.V.Countermeasures: Based on the analysis of the problems in the professional development of chemistry teachers in junior middle schools in western towns and townships,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from the levels of individuals,schools and education management departments.From the personal level of teachers,we should establish the concept of lifelong learning,improve the awareness of self-development,clarify the career planning,improve the motivation of self-development of teachers,practice the concept of action research,and promote the professional development of teachers.From the school level,it is suggested to reduce the teaching pressure,give teachers sufficient space for professional development,attach importance to school management,build a democratic management system,attach importance to school-based research,and strengthen professional guidance.From the level of education management department,it is suggested to enhance the appropriateness of training content,expand the path of teacher professional development,establish master teacher studios,and lead teacher professional development.It is suggested to build a reasonable teaching evaluation system and highlight the normalization of teacher ethics.
